The UFC was full of streoids till the USADA testing kicked in. Half the fighters shrank like leaking inflatables of their former juiced selves afterwards. And giving CM Punk a chance is as much of a freak show as anything Pride ever did. And I cant stand WMMA.

frankly having two orgs competing against each other does nothing but elevate the quality of both of them.
the worst thing to happen was pride folding...because ufc can coast now more than before and we have no choice but to take it..
yeah theres other orgs but they are still minor league compared to those two.

Fedor vs. Choi was not Pride. I'd say the UFC has done a better than Pride at freak show fights.

I know a cumstain 2020 noob who just started following the UFC like you wouldn’t get it. It’s not the manager’s place to offer title fights. He doesn’t have that authority, Ali is squeaking like a clown, kind of like you every time you say anything.

Pride, and Japanese MMA in general, is the biggest hoax/coverup in MMA history. Pride would have their top established MMA stars "fight" in squash matches against pro wrestlers with little to no MMA experience just to pad their records. Even the beloved Fedor was fighting NWO cast offs like this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuji_Nagata while Fedor was the reigning defending Pride HW champion.

Imagine Stipe taking a fight with Triple H right now, that's how absurd Japanese MMA is/was. Not to mention it was all predetermined according to past Pride fighters and associates, even CroCop's former manager admitted that CroCop fought in fixed fights. One need look no further than Crocop's fight with Albert Del Rio in a fucking Luchador mask for proof. That is a "real fight" listed on his record ffs, a squash match against a Pro Wrestler in a fucking Luchador mask, this "fight" was also neither sanctioned nor commissioned.

ALL of Pride was fake af IMHO and i don't consider any of it REAL MMA as none of it was officially sanctioned by any outside commission. Even Rampage confirmed that Pride had fake fights:

Not to mention that Pride was literally giving their fighters steroids like Halloween candy according to Heath Herring and others. Not to mention their fucking refs wore ear pieces to receive cues from the backstage a la WWE refs. If you really want to know just how fake and disgustingly corrupt Pride was, just do some research into why they had to shut down, trust me you'll agree with me once you know why they got their TV contracts cancelled.

Was Pride great to watch and amazingly entertaining? Absolutely it was, but so was/is the WWE, and that's all Pride was to me, pure sports entertainment.

Don't mind the PRIDE haters, they're just pissed that they were not following MMA when it was on... but on the other hand, we, PRIDE vets, should go easier on newer fans who discovered the UFC thanks to Ronda, Brock or McGregor.
Poor fuckers are just from a different generation, and a good chunk of what they read on Sherdog is PRIDE wanking. About how crazy that time period was for MMA enthusiasts, and how the sport sucks now compared to then.

I would get a bit peeved too after a while, and would start making up random shit like "almost all the fights were fixed", "they gave the fighters steroids themselves if they couldn't afford it", "the UFC was actually always better", "Fedor was a can, I mean who did he beat?", etc etc etc

The UFC had as many fixed fights as PRIDE did (mainly a few meaningless Takada wins), and steroids were rampant in both orgs.
PRIDE was amazing, it's what hooked me to this sport for now almost 2 decades... but we don't need to remind everyone constantly.

I agree. You can definitely tell the difference between newer fans, and us that have been watching before zuffa. Especially with their crazy threads. But, we need to chill a bit too
