Rumored UFC Heading To NETFLIX - Leaving ESPN

I mean...it has to, maybe not at the rate it should but UFC net worth is crawling towards 13 Billion, this Netflix contract is rumored to hit a record high. Other promotions like ONE, KSW and PFL have been paying fighters more than IN GENERAL Pride, Strikeforce or WEC did etc. We are reaching an interesting crossroads in fighter pay.
I think production value might get better, but the UFC seem to be always very consistent on not really raising pay for their fighters
The bonus system is completely screwed as well sadly

All the UFC champions will become black overnight

Will be interesting to see how Netflix Dagestani’s look

They owe it all to Dana...

Dana Black.

The ESPN+ app is notoriously dogshit. But ESPN is THE place for sports. They might just be playing hardball to get a better deal when contract negotiations begin. As they should.
I like the app. I would DVR Bellator back in the day and hated the fact I would have to fastforward through stuff. ESPN+ letting me pick fights individually on-demand style I love.

To be fair, the App is fine for events that have already happened and so is ESPN+. I just always had problems with it for live events on different devices and even casting didn't work a lot of the time. And it didn't have the option to play it as picture in picture as I browse other stuff on my phone or ipad (but maybe they've added that since then). ESPN+ itself is pretty decent though.

Mediocracy continues. I wouldn't be surprised if we started getting Thursday Night Apex or something along the line.

Would that include Canada? Would be wonderful for me.
I would hope so, but it probably won't. But hey VPN should work.

Edit: Actually for the main PPV cards it might, prelims, fight nights and other shows like TUF (when it's on if you watch), and contender series might not be in it due to the cable deal.

netflix is still shitty too. recently they started putting ads in and shit stream quality if you dont pay up for a higher tier. i think for the cheapest sub its 1080p, but i see it going down to 720/480p alot randomly... even when i turn off 'auto adjust quality' in the options. and i have fast internet.
