UFC Has Lost All Credibility With RR/WMMA

It's kimbo all over again except the UFC should be above this kind of shit.

WMMA is pathetic.... One big fish amongst a sea of garbage.

I didn't know Ronda did streetfighting and had to earn her way in the UFC on TUF.

Ok, LOL. Davis got ko'ed by forehead shots from a 135 pound female. Ok. If you're getting ko'ed by forehead punches by a 135 pound person in a schoolyard headlock. You probably shouldn't fight, seeing that your chin is nonexistent.

the punch to the temple had her out on her feet. She was on autopilot from there.

Why are blatant hate threads like this not immediately wastelanded?

Ronda looked like a fucking monster against a well-rounded and very experienced opponent.

OK im not gonna argue on whether Davis is a can or not but she was really Ko'd from the koshi guruma (hip toss) She was on queer street by the time she went down.
It was actually the overhand right punch that stunned her. Ronda then followed it up with the knee and the throw.

And not to mention Davis has been in knock down drag out bloody wars her entire veteran career. But yeah, some shertard whose never fought at any level outside of a video game is going to question a professional MMA veteran's chin. I love sherdog.

You just started watching MMA?

Please, inform us on how Rousey ducked Cyborg back in Strikeforce. I'm sure anyone who just started watching MMA would love to hear it. Seriously, make me a believer!

Ronda, with less than 2 minutes of professional cage time, decided after the Budd fight to drop to 135 and fight Miesha Tate prior to going back up to fight Cyborg at 145. That was the plan. If that's "ducking", then so be it, but if she had instead decided to try for Cyborg's title right away, the fight would have never happened anyway because Cyborg got popped for roids, suspended, and Strikeforce then dumped the 145lb division altogether.

Since then Cyborg has been doing the ducking, by taking no affirmative steps towards securing a fight with Ronda except tweeting and complaining. She could have signed the UFC contract she was offered, or started the process of dropping to 135 in another organization, but has done neither of those things.

LOL...Damn't Ashenthorn! You're supposed to let Hardkore reply first before dropping factual knowledge. :)

She aint down to fight Cyborg. :icon_lol:

Pure horsesh1t ^^^ and anyone who doesn't have their heads up their rectal cavity knows it to be true. Rpnda was set to fight Cyborg in SF @ 145 (Cyborg even said so when trying to get her suspension lifted). But what's she (Ronda supposed to do now? Leave the UFC for Invicta? You that lack intellectual honestly seem to forget that:
1) Cyborg is the one who fled and lied about the reason
2) Cyborg fled within 24 hours of the UFC announcing stricter drug testing
3) Cyborg is a proven cheat whose cheating caused the fight to not happen in SF

I actually agree with you in this regard, most likely holm would lose, but at least the UFC would be willing to step up the competition level.

"Step up"? Fucking LOL!!!

Noobs are so entertaining when they name-drop Holm in a vain attempt to appears like they know anything about WMMA.

Forget about Rousey. Holm would get wrecked by Davis, or Nunes, or Correia, or Carmouche, or Tate, or any fringe Top 10 BW with a half-decent ground game on her debut.

Overhand, liver shot and being thrown on the head with FULL body weight, seem pretty legit to me....

If the said 135 pound female was throwing you on the back of your head like she did to Davis, you would have been wrestling Lavigne for half an hour ts. No, you would be crippled... I'm really not sure you understand the violence of a judo throw or even what you're watching at all...

"i will fight anyone at any time!!"

yes about that.....

not willing to fight her only competition.
Cyborg made 135 and signed with the UFC?

Did that just happen?

It would have had to I am assuming. I would hope by now people still aren't claiming a UFC champ should risk millions and huge endorsements and being able to market themselves as undefeated by agreeing to let their opponent not make weight or even sign with the UFC. Someone would be pretty stupid to willingly fight someone in a higher weight class when common sense and the rules state if you want to fight a champ you have to actually be in their weight class. The reason people aren't fighting in parking lots and instead are fighting on PPV is because they are professional fighters that do this to earn a living. What champ is so mentally weak that they would be prided into making a ridiculous business and professional decision such as fighting someone in a higher weight class not under the UFC banner with a history of steroid abuse? Personally I think Ronda would destroy Cyborg. But I guess if Cyborg finally got around to losing ten pounds without dying I can finally see the fight. Props to Cyborg for finally doing what she needs to do if she wants to fight the 135 pound division UFC champ. I will have to do a Google search for the announcement of her signing!

Stop it. We all know the only reason Rousey doesn't fight at 145 is because of Cyborg.

What's mainly lacking in current WMMA is not skill, but athleticism.

Alexis Davis is still highly skilled, but when your opponent is probably LITERALLY 50 percent stronger and more explosive than you and also skilled, it's hard to do anything but get steamrolled. Just ask Frank Mir, he was surely still more technical on the ground than Brock in their second fight, but once Brock had closed the gap a bit and got him down, it just didn't matter. Now Ronda already has elite grappling skill and then the massive athleticism advantage on top, what do you expect but destruction... it's as if these other girls are fighting a man.

Stop the presses!

The UFC has a 145 pound division now too?

Man you guys are all over the breaking news tonight!

I know asking a question that isn't retarded will seem very out of place for this topic but why do you think Cyborg is not physically capable of dropping ten pounds so an athletic commission could actually sanction a title fight? Because I assume you know that with recognized weight classes the only way Ronda could fight Cyborg at 145 is if the created a 145 pound women's division which I guess they would be doing just for Cyborg because that is much easier than her just dropping ten pounds. I just want to be clear. The person ducking isn't the fighter that refused to sign with the UFC or drop the necessary weight to be able to legally fight their champ even though the UFC even agreed to let her fight in Invicta under the UFC banner to give her time to safely and slowly lose the ten pounds and she still refused to sign. It is actually the champ who is ducking by not agreeing to fight someone in a higher weight class not in the UFC with a history of steroid abuse that won't even make herself eligible for the fight? That is some rock solid reasoning there
