UFC Has Lost All Credibility With RR/WMMA

Bro, don't act like (insert fight name here) isn't the biggest test of whatever champion is headlining the next PPV's career...
 
On top of that, it's pretty much been proven that Alexis Davis has the best MT in WMMA and has THE style to give Rousey lots of problems...
 
She's fighting the best women in the BW div.

She's just a beast who is on another level, kind of like how Anderson was in the MW div for years or GSP.

When you are so above the rest of the div it makes everyone else look really bad.

MMA fans aren't always the most knowledgeable bunch. But that should have given them a clue.

Nobody complained when Silva was mowing down "contenders" that in their prime couldn't crack the top 5 today if their life depended on it. Other than Henderson all of his better wins came at the very end of his career with Vitor, Chael, and Okami. Of course much of the hype is just that. But they can't pull contenders out of their ass so they try to put the best spin on the chances of who they do have. If people are stupid enough to buy into it then that's on them. But I think just like with Silva, many people just like seeing a champ who is one of the best of all-time for their belt just put beatings on people. I personally normally don't find it as exciting as some must. Although that 16 second win that included like a dozen significant strikes and like 3 disciplines was actually entertaining to me. It would never be $60 entertaining but I think she is a good co-main when the other fights are good. But it would be different if they were feeding her cans. This is simply all there is. So I don't know why people would say it is a credibility issue. Unless they just mean the hype. The fights themselves are simply a low talent pool issue

Except Anderson or GSP never made their opposition look as pitiful as Ronda has. Nobody has among men in MMA has made their opposition look that pathetic over and over again since Royce was fighting guys who never heard of BJJ and literally did not understand what ground fighting was.

Silva made them look pretty dam bad. Ronda just does it so fast but Anderson kicking Vitor in the face, Forrest, he made a former LHW champ look like someone who was picked out of the crowd to fight Silva.

Ronda is just a beast. Cat, Cyborg, HOlm and Gina, not that Gina would provide a challenge but its a big name fight and PPV buys are down so thats why you'd make it.

But Cat, Holly Holm are legit fights for her and Cyborg is the big payoff fight.

Ronda beats them all.
 
Why doesnt Cyborg fight at 155? Why doesnt Aldo fight at LW? or Silva at LHW or GSP at MW or Jones at HW or Barao at FW or MM at BW?

Oh yeah cause everyone wants to cut extra weight to have a size advantage.

If Cyborg wants it she can fight at BW and sign the deal.

And if she was looking to fight "talent" then she would have to look no further then to the one woman 95% of anyone who pays attention to mma know will beat her whether they like it or not.
 
lol what a bunch of babies in this thread. All she does is win and all these guys do is cry.

The hype machine is working as Ronda received so many pops when she came out at the sports bar Saturday. Faber, Machida and Rousey were easily the most popular fighters at the sports bar Saturday in that order.

People around here will ALWAYS hate the fighter that is constantly winning in dominant fashion. Silva and GSP are recent examples. The more you win, the more people hate you.
 
I was getting worried when Struve/Mitrione got canned, and then Ronda won in 5 seconds.
Thought Hall/Santos was an awful fight too.

But Weidman/Machida saved the card. I think even Dana breathed a sigh of relief when both of them gave it 100%.
Nice seeing Roop/Font too.

Ronda should go do movies until someone better comes along.

Cyborg is a good fighter, and I would love to see her fight Rousey, but anyone who thinks Cyborg is so clearly better than Rousey that Rousey needs to be protected is not watching the fights closely enough.

Cyborg will a big underdog, and rightly so, if the two should ever fight.

I don't think Cyborg is clearly better than Rousey, just like I didn't think she was clearly better than Carano, but she is too much for them Just like anyone who says Weidman is clearly better than Anderson is a fool, but Weidman is too much for Anderson.
 
You guys are complaining about the UFC losing credibility due to lopsided freakshow fights in the woman's division... yet Pride was pretty much all about lopsided freakshow fights and Sherdog loves Pride. So maybe Dana is finally taking sherdog's advice and this is the first step in transforming the UFC into a more Pride like organization
