I enjoyed the fight, it was dope. Doesn't mean Islam wasn't mauled on the 5th and got his *hit pushed in though. Not mattering doesn't mean something didn't happen.

It is next level corporate troll. It means something. I don't know how Islam is perceived by the UFC, especially when they have Chimaev to get that shady oil money.

It really shouldn't be personal in any way, especially since he's the champ.
I know the UFC is about as petty as a company can be, but there's a line sir.

That's questionable tbh... When they had done that waterbottle challenge with Ronda in it was way out of line... They deleted it after, but the fact is: they did.

He will never avenge that loss to Adriano Martins though.

It means they don't want him as champ. Which is why they jumped at champ-champ potential for Volk. Then jumped at Charles killing off the rightful contender to give a 1-0 guy the title shot over Beneil's 8-0 streak. Then release a promo video featuring Volk's best minute in a 25 minute fight.

We can argue whether it is smart or not... but UFC clearly does not want Islam as LW champ. If Charles wins this fight, can guarantee there's no instant rubber match for Islam.
 
Nice to see WME doing any promotion that is not slap-fight / Conor / Paddy / Hasbullah related
