Ufc fighters that actually have good tattoos

Gonna leave it with mcgregor. Conor mcgregor's is iconic, love or hate him everyone wants to imitate his chest tattoo but can't (looking at you sugar Sean)
Conor swaggerjacked this guy:

Tattoos shouldn’t be meant for the enjoyment of other people, but for the enjoyment of the person who gets tattoos. Most people with tattoos don’t give a shit what other people think about their tattoos...

It wasn't.

People who have no clue about tattoos - and i know that sounds rude, but i really don't mean it that way - just put that out there/assumed that, because they saw one guy with a (for the casual eye) somewhat similar tattoo style.

EDIT: I just looked it up and it turns out the tattoo/tattoo style is even less similar than i remembered:

They both have a chest piece in a more traditional style and with the colors black and red (which are typical). That's literally it and has nothing to do with copying at all, lol.
So, by those same lax standards, who is copying Conor?

I'm not a tattoo guy, but I did study art for years. All of the ones in the OP look terrible imo, just poor drawing and poor style. The religious figures are awful and the horse looks like it was drawn by a child. It's too busy and doesn't read well, no contrast. The gladiators are the old UFC intro of the tattoo world, and they're also poorly drawn, the little monster figures are just bad. As for Conor's gorilla, i don't even know what to tell you.

I think Volkov's back piece looks good. It has an interesting style and is well drawn. Good symmetry, good contrast, color accents and not too busy.

Eddie Wineland's sleeve is kinda interesting. I don't like the back piece though. Scott Jorgensen's is good. Ray Borg's sleeve doesn't look bad, but I can't find good photos.

Mark Hunt's Maori sleeve is pretty cool looking. His chest piece is some shit out of an Affliction shirt though.

Easily one of my favourites too.

If i'm not mistaken he's also got some great work on his legs.
There was a moment in one of his more recent fights
He’s got someone in an arm triangle and that devil was staring at the camera, creepy as fuck I love colour on tats

Same here, awesome really.

I like his japanese style sleeve on his left arm too:

I frankly forgot the tiger tattoo.

Still though, a tiger tattoo on the torso is very common and so is this hair and beard style.
Common sure, but Conor went out of his way to cultivate this look for a big reveal. He wouldn't be the first to get inspired by another person though

People are mostly talking about the tiger on both their abs.

Perfect example of why I didn't get my son's portrait added to a tattoo. No one will be able to draw what you see.
Good artists who're specialized on portraits will tattoo you great portraits!

How do you mean "big reveal"?

Savage bro!

I understand and agree with most of what you said though (though i think Garbrandt's gladiator back piece is cool and well done).
Conor's has *some* quality issues but it's "in line" with the style it's done in (something between traditional and neo traditional, i'd say), though it could be better.
Still kinda like it.
How familiar are you with tattooing? Because i think if one comes over from "regular" art, i'd guess that most people find many things to be wrong with tattoos faster, though a lot of that might be due to the fact that one can't tattoo like one draws or paints - at least tattoos don't hold color as well and the colors fade into each other, if they don't have black outlines.

Really creative way to get a love Conor thread. Kudos.
