It wasn't.
People who have no clue about tattoos - and i know that sounds rude, but i really don't mean it that way - just put that out there/assumed that, because they saw one guy with a (for the casual eye) somewhat similar tattoo style.
EDIT: I just looked it up and it turns out the tattoo/tattoo style is even less similar than i remembered:

They both have a chest piece in a more traditional style and with the colors black and red (which are typical). That's literally it and has nothing to do with copying at all, lol.
If you are into satan or a devil, it's nice and colorful. Not into it, or any other ones, but I will say this...Brady is fucking awesome and I love watching him fight. He's got a lot of decisions, but his ground game is powerful. Could be a sleeper at WW...needs a bigger name next.Sean Brady:

Volkov covered up his old ray with a samurai mask.We always make fun of ufc fighters with shitty tats but we never give those with good ones creditView attachment 849377
Cory sandhagen with a sick as fuck backpieceView attachment 849378
Cody garbrandt also has an incredible back piecesView attachment 849379
Gonna leave it with mcgregor. Conor mcgregor's is iconic, love or hate him everyone wants to imitate his chest tattoo but can't (looking at you sugar Sean)
I saw an interview he did which answered that. It was that he was at a point in life when he felt like his back was against the wall and there was a knife to his throat.I mean, It's bad. Even take it as a knife/sword (all dick jokes aside), why do you have it in the middle of your chest pointing at your throat?
This!!at this point you stand out more if you don't have a tattoo. shit is so played out
So what I'm getting from this pic is that he skateboards and golf's in a very American wrestling singlet![]()
Always rated Jorgensens sleeve

Lol get owned dudeUm, Conor's "Iconic chest-piece", and entire style of that era was stolen from some super model dude. People aren't imitating him at all, it was he who was doing the imitating.

I frankly forgot the tiger tattoo. You conveniently left out the tiger tattoo on the belly. Conor legitimately tried to copy this man's whole look, from the hair and beard right down to the tattoos. I thought this was common knowledge at this point. Sure, you can point to differences, but that's just nitpicking.
