Yes this is amazing. Karate in my opinion is the best traditional martial art for self defense if taught correctly given that Krav Maga teachers are very hard to find good ones.

Karate is a great base for a fighter. Just look at the thread on the other forum here talking about karate fighters in MMA.

You keep saying that I did karate while a kid as am I supposed to take that as some kind of insult or something. What do you do as a kid? Sit around and eat hohos and little Debbie brownies and watch the simpons?
I boxed and didn't watch karate kid moves. I watched pride fc.

Yea I fought in competitions whether sanctioned or not I DID IT. If that is long winded to you I definitely would not recommend reading any books like super training.
Rules of those competitions ? Results can be a clean KO or cuts stoppage ?

Yea sure anybody can sign up to fight the difference is they do not all fight well. I certainly did and could again.

I mean they have Facebook pages dedicated to getting people fights maybe you would like to join up with one and teach me a thing or two about how my knowledge of fighting is lacking. Go prove yourself there for us loudmouth.
I did not claim to have fights. I did do that boxing exhibition. And spar always. So no fights. Unlike you I don't say I could would beat this that guy. I wanna beat someone and show it. Not I could deadlift 400 but If I focused. No if I lifted 350 than it's 350 and not I could if I only wanted to do it in the future.

We went until someone quit or got KOed.

We did catch wrestling until someone tapped to a submission.

If my credentials haven't qualified me to you guys to know of anything that im talking about then its never going to happen and trust me the feeling is MORE THAN MUTUAL.

I know know that I can fight because I HAVE FOUGHT.....I HAVE SPARRED light contact and hard contact.....I have played independent pro baseball for 2 teams within the last 2 years. All stars aline I am going to enter a tough man competition or a sanctioned amateur mma event/full contact karate event at some point in the near future because I feel that I owe it to my family members to do at least one. I also owe myself and my father and most importantly my current baseball team all of my energy and doing an mma fight and risking injury is not good for myself or team. I have a tournament at the end of October and a championship game coming up soon and that is the athletic goal that I have for the near future. I have also entered a powerlifting meet and I am going to do one or at least a garage gym competition by years end. Baseball is the most important thing to me as it stands right now and I am supposed to be the main pitcher in the tournament I am going to so my training resources will be dedicated to that goal because I want to win that tournament.

You underestimate pro and amateur fighting. Going out there is nerve wrecking. Others are training to fight. You are doing baseball. The mental aspect of walking out to do a full blown fight to a possible wrecking KO. Easier said than done. Gym is not the same as walking out.

You don't owe it to anyone you only do it if YOU want to do it.

You can fight but pros and amateurs can fight better. They do it full time. Compared to normal people you can fight extraordinary well. But your size pro and amateurs especially pros should be able to clean sweep you. There are lower levels amateurs and some bad pros. Depends who you get matched up with and how you prepare. It is also easy to mentaly crack for your first fight and get deliberating anxiety. Resulting in not going trough with it or having a messed up performance. When it gets really real.

Nothing in life is simple. Everything can be dissected. Even a banana has a milion atoms and no banana is the same out of a milion.

Do it all for yourself. I go on with my day when I'm not logged in. You don't owe me or the next forum chiller.
