UFC Fight Night: Ortega vs. Zombie

JY Park (via sub)

Thomas Almeida (1st round ko or dec)

Chookagian via dec

Chan Sung Jung via dec (will be looking to semi hedge with Brian Ortega sub while I look to go big on TKZ ML)

I made .7 U this card after putting 400 (whole account on one book) on Sandhagen because yeah marlon is KO or bust type guy.

Almeida has skills but no chin

I already have $300 on Zombie at -185. Will add more if it goes down.
I"m also in on Andrade at -140 for$50.

She should be able to dominate Chook pretty easily to win a decision. She has 50% TDD and Andrade is above average in take downs. If she's smart she'll grapple Chook to an easy win possibly stoppage via ground and pound.

Whats everyones read on Antigulov / Grishin. I saw +400 For Antigulov and I dont think he should be that big of an underdog.

Card seems extra juiced. Not liking much

Why is Modestas such a big underdog? Crute is the rightful favorite but he shouldn't be -340

Thougts on Silva v. Krause?
It clearly looks like Silva is faster on the feet yet sometimes very undisciplined (especially when he kicks, his hands are all the way down all the time) and on the ground, I would give a very very slight egdge to Silva.
Maybe I will take a stab at Silva +155.

Hard to fade a guy with such good grappling...
But maybe there is a little value on Bukauskas since he has excellent footwork for a LHW, (thus harder to take down) and seems to hit pretty hard.
But I will probably stay away from this fight, or maybe go small on a prop, if odds are right.

I'm expecting most are jumping on Zombie but it's kind of a semi blind bet, seen nothing from Brian in two years, who knows what he comes with

I'm a bit behind on tape, but not liking much here. I have 1 bet and it's on Mullarkey +103

dang +103 is nice. He’s -130 everywhere now.

I had a feeling you would be on Mullarkey here. He’s the first guys tape I’ve started watching for this event and his wrestling and hands should be enough to get it done. It should be an ugly back and forth fight because Fares Ziam loves to wall and stall and chain takedowns.

I think Mullarkey could guillotine him. Hopefully we get his sub line at +700 or higher again

Even though Im rooting for KZ I think Ortega gets it done ITD

Antigulov and Ibragimov would be great gay couple. Both look worse every time they step in the octagon, both gas in less than a minute, both get finished in their fights, both have padded record, both LHW etc.. I am not even sure Antigulov is pro athlete he seems to waste all his time hanging out with friends or partying. Take a look at his instagram. Dude was last seen in the gym more than a year ago and that probably explains his atrocious gas tank and declining skills. Having said that I still don't think Grishin is worth the juice here he has his own problems.

Zombie giving a little insight into his camp. He meantions he has been training with Johnny Case and Bobby Moffett at his gym in Korea, although Case recently suffered a concussion. Says he prefers to split his camp between Korea and the US but has been unable to due to travel restrictions. Rener Gracie is out of Oretga's corner due to a positive covid test as well.

Zombie all day. Unless Ortega comes back a completely different fighter, I think his chin gets cracked in this one. The guy eats almost 2x as many shots as he lands in almost all of his fights, and you definitely don't want that kind of stat-line against someone like Zombie. Almost 2 year layoff after a beat down that could end many careers. Who knows how he'll respond to not being undefeated anymore also. His main intangible is that he has crazy heart and can pull a finish out of seemingly nowhere after losing rounds. On the other hand Zombie has the momentum of 2 big wins in which he was barely even touched. Eddie Cha was with him in Korea for his camp, and his striking has looked so much crisper under him. Unless Ortega wraps up his neck or does some crazy shit like a flying submission, I don't see Ortega getting this win.
