UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs. Song

its the older Basharat that´s fighting tonight and he did look terrible against Zahabi
{<doc}

Damn Im a moron lol. So hes fighting the assumed worse brother and still these odds? I actually like snow leopard as well but no way are these odds even close to being deserved.

Yeah Zahabi is decent but no world beater and he did make him look tired, if Simon can make him work he might gas again.

I like Hernandez vs Allen to end itd. Yes its high level competion but I view Hern in simillar fashion as I do BSD. Super aggressive and if he is better then he will absolutely overwhelm his guy. On the other hand hes been flash stopped before and Allen is a super opportunistic if he smells an opening.

Ehh Fluffy is aggressive in terms of nonstop pushing a pace obviously, but it's always with grappling. He melts guys with cardio but usually that's strikers that are desperate to try to get up and who can't hang on the mat. Allen is a legit grappler, so he won't panic off his back. If anything he might be too comfortable and just give away rounds. If there's a good comparison of how it's likely to play out imo it would be Allen/Malkoun but with Fluffy showing even more with his grappling and getting the decision.

You're getting + odds for itd so I guess I don't outright hate it because there are ways that a finish can happen, but imo there really isn't value on it. I think it sees the cards slightly more often than not.

Yea, I look at Fluffy to weaponize his cardio here and play a neutralizing game with more activity.

I saw moments in that Allen/Imavov fight where better more agressive fighter would have made Allen pay. Im super high on Fluffy, maybe even "dusts of DDP with ease" kind of high. This fight tells me lot about both of those guys. Allen is good, maybe even brilliant. If Fluffys momentum stops it happens in an instant like BSD vs Poirier imo. On the other hand if Fluffy is as good as I think he I see a stoppage coming his way, not a decision.
But this is gamble based on gut feeling so dont tail this or anything lol.

I kind of agree about how good Fluffy might be...but to me he's more a MW Merab than a bigger, better version of BSD. Fluffy doesn't chase a finish or even seem to care about doing damage. He wants to break guys' will, their spirit. make them not want to be in there anymore because they're too tired. BSD wants to be ultra violent.
In a 3 rounder vs a capable grappler, IDK if Fluffy has time to truly break Allen's spirit to where a finish materializes. Allen is definitely capable of pulling something off, but imo he's likely to be getting pushed back too much for that to be likely.

Yeah and tbh these guys have fought to dec before against eachother. I also misremembered Fluffys record that he had all finishes in ufc fights. Forgot the Fremd fight.

And if you look at all the finishes, they're all due to him just wearing dudes out and gassing them to where they essentially give up. Allen doesn't seem like a guy where that's super likely to happen. Especially because like I said, Allen is a grappler himself. He understands energy management on the mat and with his back to the cage. He knows how to defend without using huge, explosive movements that sap a lot of energy.

Can be a blessing and a curse I guess. It's good in that he's way less likely to gas than Fluffy's other opponents. Bad in that it could mean he's too comfortable accepting an inferior position and will give rounds away.

Allen's got 2 good rounds of cardio in him and is for sure the more skilled guy. If he doesn't stop Fluffy, he just needs to survive the 3rd. More ways for Allen to win the fight than Hernandez in this one. Good value on Allen.

If you rewatch the Malkoun fight , Allen has vulnerabilities to wrestlers.

This is their second fight btw, Fluffy beat Allen back in Lfa.

Fluffy is extremely underrated if he wins this fight he should fight for a number 1 contender bout after hazmat
