As a kid, I never appreciated how much wrestling announcers shape the experience. They're basically narrators telling you what's going on in the wrestler's heads, advancing the plot and characters, and I didn't realize that until I was an adult that they were storytelling.

Very true, they were amazing. Legends. Bobby Heenen is pure Gold, much more funny than any stand up comedian. His timing is excellent. It was a different world, we'll never seen people like that again on TV, everyone will have luminous color teeth and be fitness freaks and perfect. All in all its a shame.
