The excuse will be that Whittaker looked small in there against a guy like RDR. Whittaker's best shot for another title run is to go down to 170 maybe. He is around 5 feet 11 also (inflated to 6 feet), and was a former WW at one time. Whiitaker should shed some weight and regroup himself as a WW. He is not touching Middleweight Gold ever again.

The only problem there is that he loses his speed advantage and durability against much quicker WW’s. He looks quick at MW, but he looked like he was stuck in mud against guys like Wonderboy when they fought.

I don’t think he’s ever gonna be in contention again let alone win gold imo.

That’s gotta be RDR
1 and 3 are clearly Rob, 2 clearly RDR.

4 and 5 are dull tedious rounds where neither did anything that scores really and are both coin flips.

It doesn’t have to be either of them tbh.

Anything from 4-1 Rob to 3-2 de Ridder is reasonable really

Huh? He landed brutal knees and punches and had Rob hurt multiple times throughout the fight. Also outgrappled him. Round by round RDR won and if you scored the fight as a whole RDR won.
You’re literally trying to argue RDR hurt Robert meanwhile Robert Clearly hurt him way more.

It’s an objectively bad decision

nah this is what happens. you think you have a point, you get shut down by your logic, and then you always back away.

never change retard.

No. You're saying they choose the tiny new toy by default. Throw a tantrum like a baby, crying in your own stool and piss, like always. Enjoy.

@helax how did you score that fight? razor close, I think a draw is fair but anyhow it is what it is.

We're back to scoring like it's 2006 again....Lay n pray/Wall n Stall js beating out damage.

It really does feel like MMA is on the decline, honestly it has for a couple years now.
I saw Whittaker land a few good shots, but people are talking like he was landing bombs in the last rounds on RDR and he was almost finished.

RDR was out working Whittaker while doing wall and stall. Not to mention the knees. Also Whittaker looked gassed as hell with no power on it. After they separated Whittaker landed very clean, but RDR made it a dirtier fight and skated by.

Also, Whittaker has had so many close fights, they aren't all supposed to go his way. It's sort of on him after it's happened so many times.

At least now he seems like old Whittaker looking for the kill, his gas tank just can't handle the 5 rounds after if it fails.

There’s no way in hell Rob could make 170 ever again

If Rob gets a win and Reindeer loses here soon I wouldn't mind a rematch of this fight. Should be FOTN.

How can you say that with lay and pray on the fence and the massive hit that almost finished him in round 3. IF this guy trains with Khamzat and DDP and Robert does that to him, its fucked up to give him the L on his last run. Reading the rules for fun again, I am not sure RDR won that. https://www.abcboxing.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Unifed-MMA-Rules-2019-.pdf RDR is really good and cool but I just wish they would call it like it is

It wasn’t pretty but RDR outworked him, pressured, and outlanded him by nearly double all night.

Whit was content getting pushed against the cage, he refused to pummel and scramble out because he didn’t want to risk position. His point fighting mentality came back to bite him
