Justin was in a bind, he was the defending champion (only LW WSOF champ in history btw) so he had to put the guy away, at least it wasn't a Tony style ass whooping.

I agree entirely. Gaethje paid him the respect he deserved by beating the shit out of him. Newell would gave gladly gotten a sub if he could.
