I don't think one or two really good strikes a round is enough to negate almost full control over a full round, and while I do think damage should matter more than control, it's subject to scar tissue and other factors when a guy isn't rocked by a strike. New rules dampen the grappling effectiveness too much. I think they need to find a better balance.
