I'm drowning in your logic on the Cannonier/MVP pick haha. The more I think about it, the more it seems that oddsmakers got that one right. Pico makes me nervous. Hate to bet for him or against him, really. Still put a small wager on Murphy just to feel alive.
The DDP vs Khamzat fight is where I might make some money. I get that Vegas has a vested interest in hiring the smartest bean counters in the world to ensure they don't lose their ass. I just think this particular matchup would be incredibly difficult to quantify with any amount of assuredness. Threw some money at the +210 ML and then hit Dricus by KO/TKO/DQ at +550 and Dricus by decision at +600. Can't envision a world in which he submits Khamzat, regardless of cardio or any other factor. I have a sickness betting against fighters/teams that I like. Either I'm a happy fan or I made some money. Best of luck on the parlays
Like you, I love to have a little at stake for every fight, even if it's just $10. Don't do big bets anymore, lost too much chasing the past few years. I realize that I'm ok, but definitely not great at sports betting. I get too confident after a few wins, then I bet big on that "sure" thing... You know the story.
Heh, I do feel MVP is close to a sure thing
I definitely can't disagree with your DDP pick. That was 100% my logic too at first. Only reason I switched was guessing what the Vegas bean counters are thinking. And that might be a case where I'm outthinking myself. I mean, if DDP can get out of the second round like Usman and Burns did, there should be no reason he can't win it... And of course, Vegas definitely loses too and this could be one of those times.
Heh, I could never go the route of betting against my own fighter/team intentionally. A lot of my friends could. But I rather feel double the pleasure or double the pain
Enjoy the fights and good luck!
