now there's a bunch of athletic guys choosing to fight

I understand the game they play these days, strategy and whatnot, but it was exciting back then bc you couldn't really do that. You couldn't train for 7 other guys like that, no drawn out camps. You trained your style and sharpened your skills, and tested them against whomever you happened to have across from you and trusted in your ability. You were seriously in the shark tank, and only the strongest survived. Man, I miss it. I still watch that old shit pretty frequently
