Was it the same guy or was he different? He looked physically better and more muscular at 305. Do you think the Izzy that showed up to UFC 305 would have still lost to Strickland or was he legit compromised at 293?

He is on the decline for sure, its only natural given his age. It is only going to get exponentially harder for him claw back from here on out. A losing streak of 2 is hard to rebound from when you are vet like him and Volk. Its a sad truth that fans have to stomach.

He's also going to have a BAD downfall as he relies a lot on speed, reflexes and movement.
Same with DDP, really. His toughness is stupid but toughness and speed eventually go away.

He has stay composed and aware and fast for his style to work, and unfortunately age weighs heavier on the speed component first

His entire game is speed based - he's aging out and getting slower- circle of life

Alex Pereria is more based on Power an technique why he is still going strong . Speed is first thing to go

Izzy would beat Strickland easy in a rematch.. That fight was a fluke, kinda like Cheeto-O'malley..

He is getting too emotional. Tries to shit talk and then breaks down crying. After losing to Sean goes to tell him not to mention his dog and such crap. The champion mentality is gone. He looked better at 305, but doesn’t mean much looking back.

I think he's just getting old. He's 35 now, with an extensive fight record. It's here nor there when it comes to MMA middleweights. He can be good, but not great anymore.
