UFC 272 Press Conference

I caught about 30 seconds of it. It was reminiscent of McGregor Mayweather.

Or Jerry Springer.

I'm a mark for circus and shittalking, but I haven't been paying attention to the build up of this whatsoever. Everything seems way off, including the timing of the match up. Most of their issues with each other sound too petty and hyperbolic at the same time.

I'll tune in for the fight, though.
I didn't watch the presser or SAS interview, but I did watch Masvidal's media scrum the other day.

If this whole beef is manufactured, then Jorge has a very promising Hollywood career to look forward to once he's done fighting. He said with a stone cold face that if the two were on a sinking ship and his survival was dependent on him and Colby working together to get off it, he'd rather die. Later, and after hearing that Colby called him Castro Jr., he calmly told everyone the story about his aunt getting her tit blown off by a landmine when she was trying to cross to Guantanamo, saying that Castro's the only person he hates more than Colby.

I'm not sure how much Colby truly despises Masvidal, but believe me, Masvidal truly despises him.

It was hard to watch but probably still better than a Smiths album

You watched.

Mission accomplished.

I haven’t watched a pre/post fight presser in so damn long.
This might be one of the last ones I watch for awhile.
It was probably one of the worst pressers the UFC has put on and it was one that a lot of fans hyped up prior to it happening for months...
Tbh it kinda lowered my hype for the fight itself.

The card is pretty decent, the prelims look really good. Like someone said above me though, this main event was made way too late and now that Fiziez is off the card I kinda lost some intrigue(RDA/Moicano is still a good fight).
I'm just waiting for UFC 273, that card looks fire and has some great fights

It’s fake beef. They literally both said on camera a few years ago that they would only fight if a title/big money was to be made, then they both got two shots at the belt and failed, so now they’re doing it for the payday. That’s why the fight never happened yet, had one of them beat Usman they would’ve done it sooner. They’re still friends and will be after the fight.

so you believe he'd purposely commit suicide just so he doesn't have to work with Colby? LOL

ranklin!!

What to make of two grown ass men talking like that?
compelling but ur dumber the longer you watch
make no mistake the hatred is THICK

there were no winners just losers
this might be one of the biggest grossers in the companys history

also what are the chances we are being fd with?
keep selling that ppv boy

I've watched a lot of content on this. I even went back and watched Tales from the Grind to see them years ago when they were brothers.
I believe the beef is real. It's definitely possible they are playing it up some for the cameras, and why shouldn't they?
But there are too many other people involved, with stories reaching back too far, with too many personal specific things being said by both sides... as well as just nasty things being said. Just don't see all that as fake. If they are faking, fuckin kudos - these guys have a career after fighting in Hollywood.

My guess is that if either of them beat Usman, after a rematch they would have lined this up for the belt. But now that neither will got a shot for a while (to ever) after losing twice - it's time to run this fight.
I think the timing on this is fine. Yeah Jorge is a little older, but these guys wouldn't have fought each other too long ago before the falling out.

That presser was a bit of a let-down though. They couldn't stop interrupting each other. Def could have been better.

Holy Franklin?

<JagsKiddingMe>
Franklin bless.

Looked and sounded very fake. When Dana that said, "Anyone who thinks this isn't real is..." cringeville
