It should've been made in late 2020 or the first half of 2021 when both didn't have their second fight with Usman yet.

At least then you could've given the winner a title shot. Now this fight really doesn't do much for either of them besides bragging rights.

only masvidal lost badly to usman, i dont think it hurts colby's brand as much as the BMF getting baptized in that spectacular fashion

I didn't watch the presser or SAS interview, but I did watch Masvidal's media scrum the other day.

If this whole beef is manufactured, then Jorge has a very promising Hollywood career to look forward to once he's done fighting. He said with a stone cold face that if the two were on a sinking ship and his survival was dependent on him and Colby working together to get off it, he'd rather die. Later, and after hearing that Colby called him Castro Jr., he calmly told everyone the story about his aunt getting her tit blown off by a landmine when she was trying to cross to Guantanamo, saying that Castro's the only person he hates more than Colby.

I'm not sure how much Colby truly despises Masvidal, but believe me, Masvidal truly despises him.

Lotta people with low EQ on the internet with no nuance who think that every beef has to be manufactured and that somehow these guys arent actual people who can get emotionally invested in a fight.

I don't know, Jorge completely avoided almost all of the pre-fight press schedule with Askren and hardly engaged in any trash talk with him, and everyone thought is was because he was shook. His attitude seems kind of the same here, only he's yelling and taunting a lot.

I'm a mark for circus and shittalking, but I haven't been paying attention to the build up of this whatsoever. Everything seems way off, including the timing of the match up. Most of their issues with each other sound too petty and hyperbolic at the same time.

I'll tune in for the fight, though.

Weird, but exactly how I feel. Like, they're not "advertising" as much as they should, and the build-up hasn't been strong/long enough or something. Will def be watching though. But in the "community" I haven't felt much hype at all.
