Dana White says UFC pay-per-view price hike an ESPN decision: 'I don't love when prices get raised'

Newsday reported on Wednesday that ESPN is increasing the price of UFC pay-per-views on streaming service ESPN+ by $5, from $69.99 to $74.99. The price hike is expected to begin with UFC 270 on January 22. On top of the increase for individual pay-per-views, the ESPN+ pay-per-view package – which includes one pay-per-view event and an annual subscription – also is going up from $89.98 to $99.98. The new pay-per-view price marks the third time that ESPN increased prices as UFC fans have been hit with a gradually steep hike since ESPN became the exclusive home of UFC pay-per-views in April 2018. After starting out at $59.99, UFC pay-per-view prices were raised to $64.99 at the beginning of 2020 then $69.99 at the beginning of 2021. $74.99 is the highest regular price ever for UFC pay-per-views.

Who thinks that the over 2.5rds. in the main event @+110 is a steal? Am I crazy to think this? I can't see Ngannou finishing it early because Gane is too damn disciplined, maybe when he gets into a groove later and gets lazy Ngannou can surprise him? And of course I don't expect Gane to finish this fight in any moment because it's not his style, and Ngannou is extremely hard to put away.
Yeah, that might prove to be a pretty safe bet. I think the over 2.5 is probable, but I could still see it ending early by a Gane sub or Ngannou wild flurry.

O1.5 on Viera/Turman is great imo. Wellington's a BJJ guy himself so he should be able to survive a bit in the worst of cases, and I doubt Rodolfo will be keen on pushing the pace unnecesarily.

Hello everyone, i am a long time follower of sherdog, somehow i just signed up.

I was a muay thai fighter which i won the regional heavyweight title 2011', now i conditioner of 3 wrestler, one of them will take medal in europeans 97 kg freestyle.

Why i am talking so much, reason is this: the other wrestler is a friend of Ngannou's training partner. He said he hurt Ngannou's knee while a td attempt. As a long time partner of him, he said ngannou is not hitting as hard as he was and no interest about wrestling game against cyril gane.

So i am fine with Gane about -110/120

Good luck.

I'm taking Jasudavicus at 3.0. Hansen had some issues with the strength of Cory McKenna so moving up a weight class against a strong girl could cause her enough issues to be worth a punt in my book.

I also think Giles is worth 2.2, I've actually been a long time fan of Morales, but this is a very young kid in his first big fight in the UFC in a big step up on a stage with a full crowd, he might crumble a bit under the pressure and if Giles can make the cut okay he beat Krause who's a very good WW.

Taking a punt on Stamann at 2.63 too, just because I think Said gets a bit of the Nurmagomedov rub and I'm yet to see him really turn it on against anyone good. Stamann is a tough out and will make him work.

Topuria is really good but -550 against Jourdain on a 1 week's notice fight is nuts.....

Dudaev isnt good? Said was very raw back then compared to now too. Ramos isnt chopped liver either....

Turman training with Glover now. Your tdd is maybe better for this fight. Both are bjj Black belt, Vieira is much better but imo Turman get subs defense. If Vieira dont have sub on round 1 this fight is going to dec ir late Turman tko or decision. O1.5 is great @1.90 and Turman ML in live after round 1.

Thank you for sharing your insight.

I am not sure how many of Ganes fights you have seen but I have noticed he very rarely fights from mid-range. He seems to only throw punches from close-range and only kick from long-range.

In theory, wouldn't that make it difficult for Ngannou to load up and land something massive since his big shots are always coming from mid-range? Gane has a pronounced speed advantage, in addition to being an extremely risk averse fighter, so wouldn't this make closing the distance very difficult for Ngannou?

Thanks
