UFC 253: Adesanya v Costa

Will be in Vegas for this card.

Westgate still the best place for lines and props?

I remember Paris having to get permission from their manager before allowing me to place a 3 man parlay lol

Should Jeff Hughes be this big of a dog against espino? Espino coming back after 2 years off. I dont remember Espino wrestling being exactly mind blowing
Hughes' fights against Greene and Pessoa could have gone the other way, easily, so that 10-3 record is deceiving. He isnt anything special but he has decent hands and good pace for a heavyweight. However, the question is, how good is Hughes TDD? I havent seen any opponents trying to take him to the ground, which is what Espino will try and do. It is hard to gage this fight because we havent seen Espino in 2 years, plus we havent seen Hughes TDD or ground game.

hughes says he has been driving a delivery truck or some shit but has taken the last few weeks off. was a part of stipe's camp and is clear the game plan will be to stuff takedowns and box espino up.

is it just better to live bet hughes after first round? last times i prebet him vs pessoa and green and these were very painful experiences that's still left a lasting burn sensation.

I will also be in Vegas for this card. Where are you staying at? I will either be at the Bellagio or Caesars this time (I usually stay downtown).

If you want to meet up, lemme know. Mposh might make an appearance as well if he gets back to Vegas in time from his trip.

I love the over 2.5 in the main event. Costa may come out trying to merc Adesanya but I think Izzy will be in the matrix for the first couple rounds counterstriking. I have Adesanya finishing Costa in round 4
I love late finish for izzy, I don't think costa's style can sustain 5 rounds and we already saw him visibly slowing in the 3rd vs romero. Also precision matters a lot for finishing. This is a crude comparison but look at price yesterday throwing bomb after bomb and not being able to put cowboy away, whereas precision from connor finished him quickly. Look at how many times izzy knocked down gastelum in their fight or how he ko'd whittaker twice in the same fight. I would be feeling very uncomfortable playing izzy via decision prop personally... sure costa is durable early but he could be insanely gassed in round 4 and 5 and he'll have already eaten so many counters by then too, could get finished there.

I dont get the love on Costa, save for the Romero fight, he is wildly untested. I'm not saying he wont win but I'm way more comfortable with an Over2.5.

I'm at the Aria. Rooms were super cheap when I booked, and they always give me a complimentary upgrade to a city corner suite(with the 20$ trick of course).

Will do! I get in on Saturday.

I'm really wanting to unload a stupid amount of money on Costa. Going to see what the odds are like when I get there.

I'll watch more tape on a few fights I have my eyes on before I get there.

My friend and I get to the Vegas airport at 12:30pm (or so) on Saturday.

I already have a couple of bets on lines that I feel confident in, but can't unload a lot more money on them until I get to my main bankroll in Vegas.

I'll send you a PM in a few days.

With Romero there was a chance he could catch Izzy with some crazy explosion and put him out cold. I don't think that is at all likely with Costa. He needs to get in and repeatedly land body head combos. Between Izzy's footwork, head movement and 8" reach advantage I just don't see it. I'm playing Adesanya 4, 5, or Dec.

We're just gonna pretend like Uriah Hall isn't Izzy 1.0 huh?

Dude was jabbing Costa's face off until the finish
I dont see Adesanya getting caught like Hall, though. Uriah is so inconsistent, he has the potential to be champion but has horrible fight IQ. Adesanya has real good fight IQ and overall better chin, I believe. Their styles are different too, the angles and counterpunching of Adesnaya is a different style from Hall's striking. But yes, I agree, Uriah Hall is his other great win.

The problem is that Izzy's counter striking is going to light up Costa because of Costa's style. 5 rds, Izzy could just do fuck all and run and pitter patter for 5 rounds while Costa slows down. Could be a very boring anti-climatic fight.

First lol @ comparing Hall to Adesanya
Second, if you think Adesanya's only weapon is a jab then you're not paying much attention.

@TrueAscension

Any parlay ideas for this weekend?

If you were in Vegas, and had 50-250$ to piss away on some long shot but feasible parlays, what would they be?
