Cmon dude he has a clear advantage standing. He gave Belal a lot of problems standing and Belal is way above anything that Gall has faced. His tdd is hit and miss but the sharp play is Brown at + money. I should abstain tho said i'd never bet Brown again after the Montano fight but im not sure how much mold poisoning affected him there. Both have been out a while so we could see improvements from both. Brown's tdd is hard to get a handle on. It can look real solid in parts such as the Graves and Belal fights, but then he seems to give up easy takedowns to them both later in the fight. Also Jackson and Sage are really 155ers, this is Galls first legit WW opponent.

His reach and length gave Belal problems. Belal is only 5'10". Brown's height and reach aren't that big of an issue here. Speaking of Graves, look at how easy of a time Graves had with him once he latched onto the back.

Overall, I'm just not impressed with Brown. I think he's good at being opportunistic and is competent in most areas, but he also seems that he can just fold. We don't really know how good or bad Gall is, but I feel he's good enough to beat what I've seen from Brown. My biggest worry with Gall is getting beat up in the clinch off failed takedowns or gassing himself out going for takedowns.

I favor Gall here. Most of the arguments that I've seen for Brown are "the Gall hype train is ending". Brown is another dude pulled from Looking For a Fight. It's not like he's some very experienced veteran. I have not been impressed with his skill set. He gives fighters trouble with his reach and length, but that's about it. He's serviceable in every area and somewhat opportunistic. IMO, I don't really see any evidence that he is a clear advantage anywhere in this fight. Gall's striking isn't great obviously, but I don't think Brown's striking is either. I think Gall puts more into his punches as well. As for wrestling, Brown is hit or miss. We may find he stuffs takedowns well here because that's what he's been working on, but if he doesn't, I think he's in trouble on the ground. From what I've seen on the ground with Gall, he would give Brown a lot of trouble.

I do not think Gall is ready for a big step up in competition, but I don't really view Brown as a big step up. In fact, I think Sage is just as tough of a matchup.

I really appreciate the response and opinion from the other side from a knowledgeable poster. Can you tell me what specific moments from Gall's fights makes you believe that Gall can take Brown down and that he'd be able to work his grappling anywhere near as well as he did against his prior opponents? I'm not knowledgable enough about slick jiu jitsu but it looked to me like he didn't have very good control and his opponents were making very white belt mistakes that cost them.

Do you think Sage is just as tough of a matchup in terms of counterwrestling and submission grappling as Brown too? That doesn't feel right to me.

Please prevent me from losing money on Brown here, I feel like I'm taking crazy pills seeing people give Brown so little respect against Gall.

Stop lying bro. i never bet more than 5 units and was up £41k going into that event. I've had a rough patch bruvva im down about 10k or so over last 8 or 9 events im fine with that. Prior to this run i went 22-3 on my double over 25 events. I know im good but that was unsustainable even for me. Variance has reared it's head and i've accepted that i got a bit cocky with some plays and reached too much. Im returning to form tho ive steadied the ship and im up over the last 5 events. Now the win streak is coming again i feel it in my bones. Don't be bitter bruv that my -160 fav squashed your boy and my English wrestling knowledge embarrassed you cos your boy got wrestled.
