I would like to apologize to everyone here because my attitude as of late has been unbecoming. My world turned upside down when I broke up my girlfriend and it's brought out a monster in me -- known as despicable me. I'm drinking more than I should and my liver, as a result, is working in overdrive. The smoking is causing my teeth to turn yellow and I'm tired of those Crest Whitestrips hurting my tooth enamel. Sorry fellas for coming out and being all emotional. I'm as hard as they come and you need to have an armadillo shell to survive in the betting game and that's keeping it 100. Just in a fragile state of mind and feel soft like butter and it's killing me inside =(

The $250 money back VIP value pick offer is rolling over to $500 bones. I've got my little eye on a specific fight for UFC 211 so fasten up your seat belts because you're in store for a double whopper. Pick is gonna be flaming hot cheetos. Check the credentials because the badge says "big boss man" and I am unequivocally the deputy marshall aka the grand sheriff of the sherdog betting community!

Pick will be revealed in due time...

Once again, Swanson gets way to much love. So much love that dudes were going broke because they thought he was gonna smash Lobov. And do u really think the Mendes fight was normal? U think Mendes was mentally there and it wasn't flukish?

Yes Yair went the distance with Rosa and BLR. But BLR was no damn split to anyone that watched. As for Rosa, Yair was literally on deaths door that fight. But the big thing is...Yair is obviously improving at a fast clip.

I'm not touting. I just saw a decent dog IMO. This place is getting crazy lately so I really hardly post anymore. But I will now and then when I see good spots.

I'm hoping Yair gets back to +150 but I think it's going the other way. The vocal guys seem to be arguing for Frankie while people are quietly betting Yair.

Maybe Luca will come out for Frankie
Yair was still +150(chagned to +130 now) on unibet less than 4 hours ago, have not decided on a side yet but I think it will be close to pick em at some point so put 3u down on yair

any guesses when the rest of the odds get released

It's because Yair hasn't fought them. There was a time Jon Jones and GSP hadn't fought the best guys. Didn't mean they couldn't beat them. It's the reason GSP was a dog the second time he fought Hughes.

It's an eye test thing. Yair is unproven but looks to be the real deal and improving rapidly. Frankie looks to be slowing just a bit and getting hit with shots that he wouldn't have been hit with before.

Frankie also has been the recipient of an INSANE amount of punishment and had MAJOR miles on his body.

Frankie WILL! Take Yair down. I just question if he will keep him down. If he can't consistently keep him down I see him having big problems

Doesn't the Yair/Rosa fight make you nervous? Rosa has a pretty loose ground game and he almost took the decision with the grappling.

That was his 2nd fight in the UFC, he has had 4 fights since the Rosa fight and he has looked much better

Has his wrestling been testing like it was in the Rosa fight with the past 4 opponents he has faced?

I think his last 4 match ups were tailor made for Yair's style.

This fight will go a long way in showing if he is ready to take that next step. Me personally I don't think he is ready

I always see responses like this and I really don't understand the logic. The type of a stylistic matchup matters to me a lot more than the most recent fights. I'd say the way Rosa fought is far more similar to what Edgar is going to try to do than his most recent four fights. Caceres tried to have a ninja imitation contest, Penn looked shot as many expected, Fili fought a lot of the fight from bottom, and Hooker is almost the opposite of Edgar. None of those fights seemed similar to the Rosa fight either to show that he improved in those particular aspects.

The Rosa fight was at high elevation and apparently Yair had food poisoning or something not long before the fight.

I see what Oblivian is saying, but the Rosa fight was 2 years ago when Rosa was 22. Someone like Rosa will improve at a rapid clip and over 2 years i imagine he has made vast improvements when you look at his age and athletic potential. I highly doubt i will be betting Yair any bigger than a unit tho, as like Oblivian says, we really have no idea what kind of wrestling defence Yair has. I do keep seeing Yair landing a flying kick on Frankie tho, but betting bigger than a unit goes against my betting rules in this case.

The point you made is the reason why I am on Edgar. You said we really have no idea what kind of wrestling defense he has since the Rosa fight, and yes it can be greatly improved but I am not banking on a fighter showing something we haven't seen before, especially against someone like Frankie. We haven't seen him face a wrestler/grinder since Rosa, his last 4 fights were tailor made for his style, and Frankie is the best wrestler who has only lost to Aldo and Henderson in the last 9 years.

You are right, we don't know how much his wrestling has improved.
If the Frankie that fought against Stephens fights against Yair, he might get caught as @Sham5916910 has said.
I think that this is a hard fight to cap

If people want to use the logic that Yair has food poisoning against Rosa and that was why he got wrestled a good bit then you need to forgot Frankie's last fight, where he fought injured, by what his coach is saying shouldn't have taken the fight, and got hit was a head kick from maybe the hardest hitter in the 145 division and still won.

I still have no idea what side I'm playing on that honestly. As mentioned earlier, I think people discount fights from years ago way too much. People are talking about Edgar getting wobbled like it's a new thing. It happened both times vs. Maynard. He's always been hittable guy, and he does get rocked. I definitely feel Yair has a decent chance at landing a kick or knee with Edgar coming in. Both sides make me a bit nervous honestly.

I explained what I thought of the Mendes and Swanson fights. I see no reason to even go into the Penn or Aldo fights. I brought up Da Bronx because he sort of has the same style that Yair has except I think Yair is much faster and plain better. If u feel so strongly about it then just bet the F'n fight.

lets just settle this argument and everyone just bet the over 2.5 nobody is getting finished here.

I can see both sides of the yair Frankie argument. Frankie has never been knocked out but as someone else stated it was nerveracking watching that stephens fight I also had Frankie decision and the over. The size difference in that fight was just massive and once again Frankie will be undersized in this one but that is nothing new. Its hard to say weather the step up in competition is too much for yair he has shown some dynamic striking and is much younger and fresher than edgar. This fight is very tough to call but if I can get edgar at even ill prob do that but it wouldn't be a big bet. I see this one going to decision its just a matter of it yair keeps it standing or if edgar is able to control this one on the ground.

Lots of unknowns and speculation and that's why I love this fight as an gambling opportunity and not so much a bettor's delight.

Few YT fights as up to date as I could find

HL reel:

Big strong Ukranian fighter, 8 r1 finishes over the last few years mainly by ko, has showed some ability to sprawl and defend take downs, likes top mount and heavy gnp. Has heavy hands and uses distance and timing well (all against low end guys) Looks like overall most of his wins are r1, some went r3 but no idea on this guys cardio since that r3 fight was 4 years ago and this guys a hw.

I doubt that frankie shows up because he had a serious injury messing up his movement and wrestling that fight.

I'm a HUGE Frankie fan, I've never missed a fight of his in the UFC to date

But man even ill say I think Yair's got this, Frankie gets hit at least one time in every single fight where you think 'oh fuck this is over' yeah I know it's kinda his gimmick
I don't see that washing with Yair, I think this is the one where Frankie gets finished
Sorry not sorry and my bank roll won't be sorry either
