" UFC 160: Why Hunt vs. Dos Santos Was the Best Match in UFC Heavyweight History "

All articles written on fighting will have bias of one kind or another. I don't agree with nearly all of what Slack writes and I think some things he writes are flat out wrong but all this talk of ridiculous bias is unfounded. Most of these calls of bias come from sensitive and delusional fans that can't take any criticism directed towards their idols.

It's really not, I've read so many of these articles... there's a basic formula.

Former Pride fighters get every excuse for their deficiencies while they get heavily glorified for their strengths. Fedor being the most obvious benefactor.

While Anderson and a few others typically gets the other side of that coin, strengths are mitigated, praise is typically always followed by criticism. He draws flimsy conclusions that are supported by little evidence.

Just go ahead and run through his catalog of articles... some are better than others, but holy cow are some just laced with garbage.

The burden of proof doesn't hinge on unprovable data like you've laid out and Jack Slack has laid out in his BR profile.

Besides, I can come into your presupposed gym and tell your coach that boxers should keep their hands up and practice cardio which has merit so you see why your coach saying the same for Jack Slacks is not proof of his authority on striking and why we can't question his journalism.

I'm going to make it a point to yell at UFC champions, things like "take him down a bunch!" or "punch his face!"

Then I can correctly claim to have advised multiple UFC champions and that a number of them won fights by doing as I've suggested.

Jack Slack is a god amongst men, it would be wise to recognise his power.

For a moment I thought you were describing 80% of Sherdog.

The title is fucking hilarious. What a joke.

Dos Santos vs Hunt was too one-sided. I thought Lesnar vs Carwin was a more exciting fight.

I just rewatched Big Nog vs. Couture and I have to say that it's in my opinion the best HW fight in UFC history. When you add fights from Pride there are at least a handful of fights that are equal or better than either JDS vs. Hunt or Big Nog vs. Couture.

Jack sees a lot of stuff we probably don't in a fight so I don't mind his opinion for that. I wouldn't say it was just because I weigh in the significance of the fight. In the end, JDS was a favorite and won by KO. The fight however was great to watch and will be something I rewatch in the future.

Hunt put on a good effort but I wouldn't call it competitive or the best fight in UFC HW history. Hunt had his moments and really proved he can hang in even at 39 years old and years of kickboxing and mma abuse but JDS proved what we all knew. One last hurrah for Hunt mostly.

Man awful lot of folk don't like me up in here! =S

I don't claim to be an expert in anything, I like to let my rational approach to analysis speak for itself. It goes down alright with guys like Bendo, The Pit Elevated team, Jason High and a few others though so I guess it's got some value =)

The fight was not that good. Tons of HW fights in the UFC have been better and more exciting.

Classic exaggeration.
