And I think a fight is really competitive when both guys are in danger of being finished, would JDS not adapt in time to Hunt's counters the story would have been different.
That's the problem: your perception is skewed. You're basing your opinion off of what you've seen Mark Hunt do in other fights. But a fight's competitiveness is based on what actually happens during the fight itself, not what you think could happen or what has happened in other fights.
If JDS had not been as skilled the story would have been different? What does that even mean? Of course his skills won him the fight.
Jack Slack calls the fight "a back and forth battle." It simply wasn't, because at no point was Mark Hunt winning the fight.
It was far more than one way traffic though if you watch it through discerning eyes, which is what I think was the point of the article.
JDS had to dig deep into his bag of tricks to finish, not necessarily to win a decision. He could have danced all round 3
Did Mark Hunt have a few moments? Yes. Was it a back and forth affair? No, it was one fighter soundly outstriking the other.
