Where do you train.
The terminology he uses is terminology used in boxing gyms across the world.
The classic rebuttal of the ignorant:
"No, you're ignorant!"
Good article and it proves my point about Hunt being one tough guy to knock out.
And yet nothing I've said refutes that...
Answer my first question. Where do you train? What makes you the greater striking authority?
Yeah sounds about right. JDS also got tagged in those bouts anyways which didn't look that different from what Hunt landed on him.
Very true. Jack's articles help my boxing immensely. My coach is surprised at some of the things I bring into training which came right from Jack's writing.

Let me answer that with a question, where does Jack Slack and the person I replied to train and what makes them the greater striking authority?
You can't question my background without establishing theirs first. If you can't then its simply a matter of people who don't really have a any tangible proof that they do have striking authority disagreeing with each other as observers wade through the bullshit and come up with their own conclusions.
Jack Slack's breakdown of a possible Jones vs Silva fight showed that he doesn't have any experience and knowledge on the subject of mma. Decent bullshitter though.
It is too bad that this guy lets his bias pervade into nearly every article... it takes away from what could be quality analysis.
"Jack Slack" is not even his real name ffs. Seriously who at this day and age expects to be taken seriously without even revealing their true identity and credentials.
My name is Jack Slack and I'm a passionate English writer and analyst of combat sports. Formerly of Bloody Elbow, I now write for Bleacher Report and my own blog, www.FightsGoneBy.com.
I have had the great pleasure of performing analytical work for several elite fighters and a couple of coaches but am truly only focused on getting a suitable level of analysis into the mainstream MMA media.
And you also got people like you who believe anyone and anything on the internet because you don't have the knowledge or wherewithal to question it. Just because a bunch of technical-sounding words and elaborate descriptions are hitting you left and right doesn't mean the source is legit.

bhendo doesn't claim to be an authority on striking so where or if he trains doesn't really matter. "Jack Slack" on the other hand passes himself off as one. He writes, as another poster pointed out, hindsighted and biased breakdowns and when he used to come around here if you challenged him on his bais, he would simply ignore you.
I read his stuff occasionally and some of it opens my eyes to things I might've missed so I really don't have a problem with it. But some people around here think he's the final word in striking, which I think is ridiculous.
So, my questions are, what is Jack Slack's real name, and where does he train?
I'd say the burden of proof is on the dude claiming he's a phony. What are your credentials to give you authority to say his analyses are bogus?
I'll tell you mine. I train boxing at Ultimate Athletics in Ithaca, home of Team Bomb squad, under Alexander Stewart, a former golden gloves champ and prot
