Why aren't you a Woodley fan (if you aren't)?

Guys who dislike Woodley are the same ones who scream like teenage girls at the sight of McGregor

This explains everything
It explains that you pull things out of your butt.

Not to make your head explode but I like both. Nice job shoehorning McGregor into yet another thread that's not about him.

He could make huge strides toward being more popular by simply fighting and finishing Colby Covington.

...but he won't, because he doesn't understand promotion and looks at these things from a "yeah, but what if I lose to that guy" perspective. He's completely risk averse, which is why his fights are boring too.

ok but him saying thompson hasn't paid his dues or anything about condit have nothing to do with your claim that he "always brings up race." even when he was questioning why he was poorly treated (and you dont see what happens behind the scenes, dont just go off twitter reaction) he only mentioned race as a potential reason. people took that and ran with it and have since decided to freak the fuck out and mention race cards/race baiting any time his name is mentioned - which is ironic af.

i'm just telling you he barely ever does. it's just sherdoggers that can't let go of the fact that he did a few times, the most recent time being over a year ago. i don't like watching him fight but he doesn't bring up race anywhere near as much as people try and make it seem
Well he said he felt like it was because of his race and he felt like he'd be getting promoted more if he was of a different skin complexion which is just pure BS. To be honest he wasn't even really getting much hate before he mentioned the whole race thing and he was basically gifted a title shot so the whole "pay your dues" BS has no merit. He made himself hated by being annoying and that's the end of it, if the UFC hated him why would they give him a TS after a split decision win over Gastelum?

Well, I'm convinced. All of the above, including other; because I don't like the way he looks at me through the TV like I'm some kind of honky.

Just go out there and fight, I don't really care. The way he fought not to lose instead of to win against Maia made me dislike him more, as a fighter, than anything he's said outside the cage. I don't really care about his physique, his height, his skin color, I just want to see good fights. Sometimes he delivers, sometimes he doesn't. Address that first and foremost.

Gotta admit that some black people use the race card to justify everything cos it's just too easy and some time too terrifying for people to openly contest. Nobody wants to be labeled as a racist...openly at least. Now don't get me wrong here...racism is still very much alive. Obviously not as overt as it was in the 60s but still very much alive and plays a part in a LOT of facets of life in today's society. That being said, as a black man, I'm not much of a fan of Tyron because he's just annoying as fuck. He has excuses for everything, always complains about shit like he's entitled to shit. I don't think he's a boring figther at all. Nobody was saying that before his fights w Wonderboy and Maia...Not surprised though as most MMA fans have short memories. Tyron's personality is just not fan friendly that's why he's not popular to me. Anderson, JJ, Rampage, etc...are all black figthers that were loved by people of all races. This dude just comes off as an entitled prick...complaining about not being promoted, etc. So far the only 2 figthers I can think of who didn't deserve the push they got from the UFC are Sage & Paige. People like to use Connor as an example but McGregor EARNED everything he got today. Nobody wants to see a superfight w Woodley...and that has nothing to do w race IMO. Anyway, Woodley is gonna Woodley so...<Fedor23>

People dislike tyron because hes a whiney bitch. His fights are boring and he acta like he's a legend of the game when he aint shit yet

Tyron Wooldey is fkn great. A money train for me. He has very high fight IQ, something I always appreciate, KO power, very strong and seems to have fixed his cardio problems, so overall a very dangerous and solid fighter. He also beat both Maia in a dominating a fashion while others just failed miserably, and he beat Wonderboy twice. He beat them the way he had to. The people sayng he´s boring and he didnt´do shit...well what did his opponents do? It´s an MMA fight, so he does what he needs to doto win. Bit he cant win iwth people because either he fights them the smartest way and he gets booed by idiots, or he tries to be flashy and gets KO´ed or submitteds and he gets laughed at and told he´s shit and all sort of retarded stuff.

So the haters are just morons - but please, please do keep hating, as emotional people often will bet on guys to lose. And please keep making the odds more favourable for me. In the end he still wins, and you´re still losers, and so are his opponents. so keep being emotional teen girls. he´s number 1 deal with it. he has earned it.

thanks for the money T.

I am a fan but I get why some hate him. He beat some fan favs and he has been outspoken when some just want him to be silent. I wouldn't have handle things like he has but that is on him. His constant shit with Dana serves no benefit to him. It's just a lot of stuff that make people want to see him lose the belt. I hope he holds for a long time.

Tyron is loud and brash? He just seems whiny to me. Which is crazy considering he's such an amazing fighter.

I wonder if floyd will be looking to defend his unbeaten record against women and take on cyborg

kind of hard to feel like a poorly treated champion when you aren't the champion yet, no?
What? I'm confused as to what your point is. No sarcasm, maybe just lost in text.

Edit: I see said the blind man.

Figured the point you are bringing.

Obviously yeah, but the point I'm trying to convey is that as a contender he was kicking ass & taking names. They lined them up and he knocked them down. Come winning the belt he pulled a near aboutface. I get that there's a different dynamic when a man becomes champion but the degree of how he started to carry and convey himself is straight puzzling. With no merit.

Could be he had expectations of how champions were treated based on previous title holders before becoming one and was disappointed with the result after becoming one

He fights way too carefully and has gotten annoying with the money fight talk.

Disagree. People don't like it when minorities blame not getting what they want immediately on racism. Tyron had literally had the belt on his waist for 5 minutes before he was whining about not getting paid in "money fights". NO ONE in the UFC was getting Conor money besides Conor, Not Tyron, or the popular champ he had just defeated.

Being called a racist carries severe social implications these days. It can cost you your career and it is a minefield for anyone in the public eye to navigate. This is because any comment that can be twisted into a racial slur - however unintentional - will be taken out of context and used against the speaker regardless of their past record. For Tyron to play the race card so soon and so frequently when his championship reign began rubbed people the wrong way, just not the way Din Thomas sees it. Quite frankly, people do not like being accused of something that is not only untrue, but also carries severe punitive repercussions with it.

Tyron made his own bed. Being outspoken is different than making false charges against people. Deal with it.

Reported, this post is far beyond the heavies intelligence criteria....

Probably the best summary I've read, congradulations.

UFC fans are full of racist....The Main demographic for the UFC, are Young White American Males.

Look at all the biggest fighters in the sport by era.

Conor, Ronda, GSP, Brock, Lidell, etc.

Anderson Silva, Rampage, and Jon Jones never were as big as they should...They were always #2 or below to a White fighter.

You do realise Anderson is Brazilian, the vast majority of Pages popularity/career was in Japan and Saggy was/is a total fuckup.
Maybe the earths not really flat..... just saying.

For me it's pretty obvious.

- Race-baiter
- Not very bright (see first point)
- A lot of boring decisions with point-fighting throughout his entire career (not just in the UFC)

Also he comes across as annoying at times, not sure why though.

I don't want to deny that race can play into a person's image and popularity, but I highly doubt it's a major factor in this case.
