I’m not really sure it’s a black vs white thing...I think it has a lot to do w nationality more than anything, I mean all of Canada tunes I’m for GSP, Brazilian fighters the same. As far as GSP's fight style goes, he was more aggressive. GSP 90 takedowns in his UFC career to Woodleys 9. Then compare the striking stats, it is similar thing for GSP, alot more strikes thrown and landed more of 'I am trying to dominate you' style.. add in the fact that GSP never complained and whined (no one likes complainers, especially pro fighters that are mentally tough) or generalized their potential fanbase (Woodley has accused people of being racist in the past for saying that his cardio is an issue, I saw this on video so I know it wasn't just an article, but my point is, we know cardio is an issue for woodley, hence his pacing.. but he took that as a racial comment from the fans! Not good.)

Just my thoughts. Find me a popular 'star' that routinely complains out of the ones you listed earlier. I don't want to get into semantics about what would count as a 'complaint' but alot of people consider Woodley a guy that complains frequently about things, which means he is doing his promo wrong if that is the perception they have, whether that is true or not. If you get my point..

I have never heard people call Daniel Cormier a complainer really, because most of the shit he was frustrated about was justifiable as far as the fans go (PEDs etc) and look how much love Cormier gets. He knocked out the white heavyweight champion (you forget Stipe's lack of promo, look at ngannou vs Stipe for example) and everyone loved DC getting the two belts.

Michael Chiesa started complaining a bunch and a bunch fans wanted to see him get KO'd in his next fight,and I saw alot of people laugh when he last lost because of his overall attitude to losing his previous fight to Kevin Lee and complaining non stop about the way their fight ended.
