Crime Tyre Nichols video to be released soon. 5 Memphis cops fired and charged with murder for his death

These post are hilarious. Save the fake outrage over the "fake outrage."

The cops were fired and charged with murder before the tape was released to the public. George Floyd was a big deal because it was the complete opposite & required civil unrest to get any kind of justice.
That's a huge difference. Memphis literally did things a certain way to avoid a George Floyd like situation. The footage didn't leak instantly like with George Floyd.

Stop your nonsense. If these officers were white we would have a prolonged campaign across all media about it even if they were charged the same. Typical head in the sand opinion

Stop with your dishonest framing & denial.
Look who's playing the race card now...
It's all over the media still.
The timeline of the video, firings, & charges mattered here to anyone with a brain.
Half yall are honestly mad riots didn't happen for more talking points.

Idiot doesnt follow orders, yells, runs, cries mommy and dies. Darwinism

Guaranteed billions of dollars in damages with violent riots across the country. This was far far worse than Floyd who was saying he couldn’t breathe long before resisting arrest… can you imagine the carnage in this case if the cops were white?

Create a strawman with somebody else. Don't put a single word in my mouth. Nope you're way off base.

Dude we had an entire exchange where you threw around strawmen and put words in my mouth . . . . I know I should completely ignore you, but this was something I had to say. Now I can move on with my day.

The way the flames have been fanned since Floyd against White folks and depecting whites as bad.. had those 5 been white it would be an all out race war right now no matter what the city did.

The media, Hollywood, politics have created such anti white sentiment the next Floyd (which had nothing to do with race just a over zealous stupid cop) situation is going to make the Floyd riots look like a peaceful night in the country

Wow. I totally have no idea who you are. You have already been forgotten unfortunately.
I'm sorry if I had that big of impact on your life.
I can check back and see if how I wronged you.
Or you could just tell me what was conflated.
Let it all out.

I also love how this thread is really starting to highlight the general theme around here.
"Racism doesn't exist when Black people are portrayed in a certain way or when they are mistreated. It always has to be another reason. However, when Hollywood & dA mEdia are unflattering towards White people that's the real racism."
Reverse Uno race card. Well played. I'm taking notes.

The other weird dynamic here is whether you guys are right or wrong....I'll be 100% percent honest your stance literally fuels all the talking points of the other side. Kind of plays right into their narrative. Its only going to make them grow and get stronger.

Who is the other side and in what way are they going to grow and get stronger?

I would say the other side = the ones who say there may be a systemic issue with how police treat Black people (even by Black cops). Or that things like that should be questioned or explored.

By get stronger I mean that they will look at most racism deniers as racist & as further proof that racism is alive & well. Even if many of the accused consider it a major false equivalency. They will get lumped into that group.

And what do you see the end result in that being?

People who do not see systemic racism, but instead see a continuing pattern of actions and consequences, being lumped in with the Klan? Where's the benefit in that?

It is physically impossible to live another's life experience, this will forever result in differing opinions, based on different expenses. Vilifying those experiences will never result in positive change.

End result just equals less empathy and common ground. A further divide. What that devolves into, i don't know. I know one side is losing the "culture war" and generation war. Even though there is a bit of a push back and uprising. Could just be as simple as the times are changing and not going back.

Well its a matter of perspective & definitions.
My belief is there will never be common ground just due to the fact that neither side will ever agree on just the definition of racism alone. Which is a whole different long conversation.
Things that are overtly racist to one side are innocuous to the other. Its a protection mechanism. If you despise something you tend to even hate the enablers and apologist for it too. Doesn't have to be as over the top as a Klan.

There is a major perspective difference to where for some it impacts your dating choices, your living arrangements, your education, your gainful employment, your freedom, and or your life.
So if your day to day isn't impacted by it, its not a real or important issue to you.

I agree with most of your last point. I think somethings deserve to be vilified though. Dishonest actors. People with an agenda or talking points that are easy to debunk....etc

If any of them are white women, I'll step up to the plate and do it. Just so they won't keep throwing their race cards at me.

I realize I tagged you in this response, but it was because I was responding to the yt video you posted and then erased that because I didn’t feel like it was going anywhere, so it may have tagged you unintentionally.

To provide a very brief summation to that original response video, I find it questionable that one officer could ticket so many poc but it’s not impossible that he just happened to be pulling over people of color in a completely random manner. He seems like the type that would ticket his own mother. And kudos and lol about the lady that purposely got pulled over and ticketed just to confront him even though she seemed very annoying.

No worries....
I think the presenters point about how the Trooper immediately felt the need to deny or defend not having Tik Tok over defending the racial accusations backed by data says a lot about that Trooper. Not like she was a random Black lady just upset about getting a ticket playing the race card.
So by questionable , do you mean it deserves the call-out, additional suspension, or some follow up to make sure it didn't involve targeting or profiling? Kind of similar how you said you approach suspicious vehicles?
