Crime Tyre Nichols video to be released soon. 5 Memphis cops fired and charged with murder for his death

Not conviction. But he literally put down as a reference the person who he had been in an abusive relationship with. Having said that, yeah that department has overlooked domestic convictions and stalking and the like before.

Sure, no disagreement from me that the problem should be tackled and not just written off as too hard. Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good

So what did she say? No one has ever hit me as hard as he did.

Are people changing their social media profile pics to black this time around? George Floyd must have been more important I guess....

A far bigger deal was made out of that one for some reason. I can't quite put my finger on it
These post are hilarious. Save the fake outrage over the "fake outrage."

The cops were fired and charged with murder before the tape was released to the public. George Floyd was a big deal because it was the complete opposite & required civil unrest to get any kind of justice.
That's a huge difference. Memphis literally did things a certain way to avoid a George Floyd like situation. The footage didn't leak instantly like with George Floyd.

Informative Article from Teen Vogue:

Tyre Nichols Was Killed By Black Police Officers Because the Whole System Is Racist

First: There doesn’t need to be a white person in the room for white supremacy to function. Second: Although white supremacy wholeheartedly welcomes Black cops (and any other Black person who wants in) to be its agents, it will never protect you as it protects its own. Third: Diversifying police departments doesn’t address the fact that policing is as systemically racist as it is innately violent. All too often, hiring more Black and brown officers just provides us with the privilege of being brutalized by people who look like us.

As a Black person, you can choose to work against your own community to your perceived advantage, but you must always remember that the white supremacists you may think are tokenizing and validating you are really just using you to legitimize their power over you. For that reason alone, you are allowed to act. In their eyes, you are no less inferior, and you are no more deserving. You are a tool, and should you cease to be useful, you will be discarded — just as these officers have been.

The ol Uncle Tom argument.. pretty heavy stuff for fucking teen vogue… but they wouldn’t purposely target youths with theories of systemic racism, would they?

Lol yes! It has nothing to do with the skin color of the police.

On May 25, 2020, Chauvin was one of four officers involved in arresting George Floyd on suspicion of using a counterfeit $20 bill.

Chauvin was arrested on May 29, 2020.[54] Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman charged with 3rd degree murder.

Ummm try again... also the most damaging footage of the George Floyd situation was the footage from witnesses, much like the CCTV in this one.

On January 7, 2023, five Black police officers of the Memphis Police Department severely beat tyre nichols.

and the five officers were fired on January 20.

The five officers were arrested on January 26

So unlike your claim.. it took 4 days for Chauvin to be arrested and charged with murder ..

Took 19 for these gentlemen to be charged with murder.

You're completely wrong.. thanks for playing tho

I know this isn't your point or callout
but the whole resisting arrest argument Is the same as "but she was dressed like a skank so she deserved to get raped....or well the child was misbehaving so it was ok for the parents to beat the kid to death. " Its just hard to take anybody seriously or consider them a moral or just person if that's what they lead with or want to focus on.

If the guy got roughed up with some bruises or abrasions in the scuffle...ok yeah one could make that fair argument. Its ridiculous to even compare what happened here to anything that might have resulted from resisting arrest.

Like I said, I think donut was watching and commenting live as he was watching it for the first time. I didn’t catch it until the second time when I noticed that the way they were holding him was preventing him from complying. And hell, maybe the one guy holding his arm didn’t even realize that he couldn’t comply because of the way he was holding him because everyone was screaming and when that is going on, it causes your own body to release stress hormones on top of the adrenaline. I don’t know. I just know that it seemed like that kid was trying to comply and they were so far over the top that they couldn’t even realize that they were commanding him to do shit that other officers were preventing him from doing what he was being told to.

Donut is a pretty reasonable dude in most cases. He and I have similar opinions on these videos and if there is someone who’s opinion I would trust on police issues, it’s his. But then, I don’t really watch any other police videos on yt.

Was the video of the Floyd incident posted to facebook on May 25th? If so that kinda fucks up your timeline of events. In this case it looks like Memphis PD had all of the footage of what happened and held onto it while they investigated and then charged the cops. With Floyd it looks like the initial video was posted by a private citizen which obviously sped things up.

Lol yeah I'm sure actually charging people with murder and firing them instantly is a no biggie.
Funny when some people clown the race card then throw it when they want to.

Another dummy that can't read. Please show me where the officers were arrested and charged before the video became viral.

Exactly. I even posted this. They can't even read a couple sentences. However, they think they can tackle complex issues like race & politics.
The best part is he will double down on his B.S. and not admit to missing the point.

I figure the witness footage would have been out that day personally. So may 25th would be my assumption as well.

My point was he was charged in 4 days of the event. ( due to witness footage )

The guys were stood down 13 days after the incident. 10 days after the victim passed. And arrested another 6 days after that.

They released the footage ( Memphis Police) 1 day after arresting the 5.

Wait.. you think if a witness had filmed and posted it. These police wouldn't have been charged sooner ?

Wait if you are still having trouble reading please see @Poon Goon 's post above. Thanks

The public saw the viral video before people were fired and criminally charged in one scenario in the other scenario they did not. Plus they had multiple government agencies and stateatgiest literally going "how can we not make this explode like George Floyd. "
Sure race plays some part in it. Not just when its convenient. However, its not outweighing those major drivers.

So you are saying if it was the George Floyd situation and we waited like 2 weeks after the fact like this murder it would be the same outcome for protest and riots? Lol. Don't most victims families in these kinda cases demand the police body cam footage to be shown instantly? Yet you think it's fine to be released multiple weeks later and think that the Memphis police department handled it right?

Create a strawman with somebody else. Don't put a single word in my mouth. Nope you're way off base.
