Crime Tyre Nichols video to be released soon. 5 Memphis cops fired and charged with murder for his death

When you make a false monolithic boogeyman like "leftist." Sure it fits neatly in your deck of cards.

However, in the real world you have to look no further than any objective leftist thoughts on Larry Elder, Candace Owens, Kanye etc etc etc.....
to disprove your quip...

What's fake about leftist?

It's a real belief from the left that minorities can't be racist. It's everywhere. Apparently they magically can be racist again when it comes to black on black racism lol.

You misrepresented the article itself. You asked how CNN could say this when clearly it was an opinion piece.
Apparently as long as it's an opinion you can just say whatever dumb shit you want with zero evidence.

Its not magic. Its called nuance. It exists on both sides. Do some extremist and racist preach that minorities can't be racist? Yes
Do all of them or even a majority of them? No
Its no different than saying righties are nazis & supremist because of right wing social media posts I see.

For the record I get called a leftist everyday on here. I'm under the opinion that Blacks & other minorities can be racist too.

cops help prevent crime by not being everywhere..... you know because if they arent there they cant shoot or beat people or steal their drugs or money. but you do have one good point... much needed education wont help cops until the culture has more humanity than insects do and presently that is not the case.

the problem we have are there are a LOT of bad cops that abuse people bully people and break the law. then you have the larger majority who don't do anything like that but who keep silent out of tacit agreement or cowardice. so basically nearly all cops are terrible people by commission or omission with exceptions so few that its negligible.

its a cultural problem primarily.

Yes and I hope the police departments in large cities keep going in the direction they are now with fewer and fewer cop until the force is tiny. Then the crime will be almost nothing. No police report no crime.

I don't know why you would want to sway me I have a balanced position..... there's just a ton of corruption in the policing departments and we all know it's true... only a person blinded by partisan bias could possibly miss it.

And I'm not arguing that there shouldn't be cops I'm glad there's cops we just need honest cops with a culture that is there to help rather than harm.

More funding more education and a culture imposed from the outside to root out and fire all the bad cops is the only way forward.... anything else is just fantasy.

Your position isn't "balanced" when you make claims like "most cops are bad people". I'm sorry, it just isn't. And this is exactly how extreme ideologues frame discussions.

"How can you disagree that most cops are bad people??? It's so obvious, you disagreeing makes YOU the biased one..."

Sorry but we can't engage with two launch points that are so utterly far apart.

Its over your head don't try to tackle it sport.

Sigh . . . apparently comprehension is above yours. But you're really good at creating things to fit your perceived bias.

Did you, or did you not state it has nothing to do with race because the cops were Black???

I said it was stupid to blame it on white supremacy.

Aren't you pissed that Ben Crump going to make them pay???

I said I'm fed up with race baiting grifters.

Be honest, let them feels out.

Why? You'll just read what I type and get it completely wrong. Again.

I'm glad because I agree it's a stupid idea. It seems pretty popular but hopefully it's as fringe as you say.

I really doubt though that these five black cops were motivated by anti black racism. They were just shitty cops that thought they could get away with beating this kid up.

most cops are bad people if you define bad as not standing up formaly against abuse and misconduct that they see or hear about.

why would you hope something like that? its illogical and stupid.

Watched the videos…if there is a death penalty in Tn, perhaps we’lll see some well deserved punishment for the criminals that beat him…if not life in prison is fine.

still dumbfounded that people are trying to place any iota of blame on anyone other than the criminals that beat him to death.

I know it blows your mind that there is any more to this than just evil cops. That would just be off topic lol.
like i said when you first criticized me for being on topic, you can have all the opinions you want.... just dont expect me to discuss other problems when the thread is about cops murdering people.

and around and around you go.

That's simply your view. You restating it numerous times doesn't make it any more true. Speaking things that are your opinion as though others need to agree like they are facts is a quick way to not be taken very seriously.

Nobody is arguing that there aren't departments that have issues that need addressing. Setting up the discussion as though your word has to be gospel won't work, not with me. Probably not with many others either...

This thread is specifically about five cops interaction with Tyre Nichols. I guess your broad attacks on cops everywhere is off topic as well right?

I'm glad we have good hall monitors like you to make sure everything is unquestionably on topic.

that's a different take and better explained. we can honestly dispute how rampant the problem is in good faith.

but my cousin did experience this and he was blackballed in other major cities based on the lying and corrupt police force who slandered him. you are naive about how widespread the problem is man and it seems NOTHING could ever convince you because you dont want to know.

you know me well on here..... you know i am not lying to win a freaking argument man. this happened and it is way more common than you know and something needs to be done about it. i didn't even share (but have before on here) that he finally got on the force in las vegas (a number of states away) but quit because those cops were no better there in terms of abuse and drug dealing.

i guess he just lucked out and found the only two massively corrupt police forces in the states........ and i suppose that is possible but my bullshit meter goes off when people suggest it.

if a cop doesn't know this is happening he or she is likely complicit, naive, in denial, or lying. but the thing is man... there is just no will within the police forces themselves to stop it or see it or care about it. the culture discourages it in fact. i think generally speaking cops are just immature types of people.... the type to run with the crowd and put fitting in above right and wrong. policing needs to make better choices about who they hire. the whole thing needs to be revamped from the ground up and from the outside. no idiot liberals who dont think we need cops should be doing it either.

the only solution is nationally held standards and a totally independent organization that polices cops and fundamental change in the culture and attitude and types of people police forces hire. it would take 30 years to get there and weed them all out or let them die out while replacing them with a different breed of person with better training.

Who are they blaming? Nichols? I mean he was an idiot for not just complying instead of doing the normal young African-American male routine of "I didn't do anything! What are you doing!" while running, kicking, fighting, wrestling, etc., but that doesn't mean he's to blame for his death.

i got pulled over for a minor traffick violation with my daughter in the car a couple days ago. i was using this as a teaching moment for my daughter and explaining to her how to behave when a cop pulls you over, where to keep you hands and why you want them to feel secure while doing their much needed job. the cop noticed and seemed appreciative and did not give me a ticket and the whole interaction was filled with love. it felt wonderful to offer love to that man in a time when maybe many people do not.

thats how you interact with individuals you dont know and who may be truly good human beings. but i can walk and chew gum at the same time and none of that interaction changes what i know about policing.
