Television TV Show Thread

Is there a YOU thread, @Dragonlordxxxxx ?
This is the only YOU thread I could find:

I just can't stop watching Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, it's kinda funny.
Created by Tina Fey

I found the first few episodes of Kimmy Schmidt so hilarious. I was literally laughing out loud at some of the jokes. But I started getting annoyed in the second half of the first season where characters were just acting unrealistically dumb and cartoonish.

Started watching Happy Face on Paramount+, and it is pretty good! Dennis Quad playing a serial killer, man he really pulls off the psychotic well. Only 3 episodes in, but the wife and I are enjoying it.

Synopsis of the pilot

Melissa Reed is the daughter of incarcerated serial killer Keith Jesperson, the "Happy Face killer", a connection that Melissa has hidden from her children and coworkers. One day Keith calls Melissa's boss, Dr. Greg, the host of a true crime television show, claiming that he wants to confess to an additional murder, but will only reveal information to Melissa in person. Melissa and the show's producer, Ivy Campbell, visit Keith in prison but he refuses to share any details beyond that he gifted a trampoline to Melissa after the murder. Melissa brings Ivy to her childhood home to visit her mother, June, who claims that Keith has sent people to harass her over the years. Ivy finds the trampoline, which was purchased in Texas. They question Keith again, and he describes the full murder sans the victim's name. Using details of Keith's story, Melissa and Ivy identify the victim as Heather Richmond, but learn that Heather's boyfriend Elijah has been convicted for the murder and is on death row. Melissa's daughter Hazel overhears her father Ben on the phone and learns that her grandfather is the Happy Face killer.

Kinda binged like half of the HULU Japanese drama scifi show Land of Tanabata. They start off with some samurai era battle where one side is greatly outnumbered, but they have several people on the front line who have a superpower where they start making sphere shaped holes in their enemies and wipe out the other army. After that, it's modern day and very few of those superpowered people are around and seems like the more you use the power, the more your appearance changes into some nasty alien looking head and hands. So far not great or crap.

EDIT: Finished and ending was not satisfying.

Finished Paradise. I almost gave up, but it gets better. Sterling K Brown is really good in this, perfect demeanor. I liked the cast. I know they were going to make a diverse show, which I was fine with. But they forced an affair that was just too unbelievable. No way James Marsden's character, who is handsome, rich and the President would have an affair with his head of Secret Service, played by Krys Marshall. She is not sexy at all, plain Jane as they get, and isn't even dynamic or fun. But otherwise, a pretty decent show. Gerald McRaney plays a great mean Dad.

He could have fallen for an equally unattractive white woman, right?

He was wonderful, loved seeing Marsden in his element and am looking forward to season 2.

My favorite show in the last year for sure. SO MUCH FUN. That show is loaded with organic diversity, and I enjoyed every minute. So many viable suspects, I had a blast with it. Did you like it?
I loved her in OITNB so I was all over it but other things have taken more importance. Fun, but husband wasn't crazy about it as fun as it was so we'll get round to finishing it eventually. She's brilliant in everything I've seen her in and the Nancy Drew aspect for her is brilliant.

I love James Franco so we're in good spirits, luffly.
Yes, it's very good. It has the end of the episode left on tenderhooks we had with Lost.
