@Ignicious Have you seen Jessie Graff on Titan Games yet?
She lost. I really thought she would win Mount Olympus but I was surprised that she was already fatigued halfway and struggled terribly with the Ball & Chain.

She still has a chance of coming back to compete in the redemption rounds but I have no confidence she can come back. She just doesn't have the needed strength to compete in some of these challenges.

Yeah, she didn't impress me much. But at least she didn't look a total fool like Victor Cruz did… I have a feeling Tyron Woodley will be pwned as well

I was thinking of watching that next but is that show confusing? I'm watching Legion now and may want something more straight forward.

It’s not Legion wtf level, I used a guide with me to remember all the faces of people who have three different time versions of themselves. I just completely got sucked in and loved all of it, it’s actually quite engaging the whole way through, with only a couple of small hump periods. It’s super tight and nicely deep. To me, it’s the most complete tv show in terms of structure and knocked Breaking Bad, The Wire and Game of Thrones down a rung.

I'm going to have to re-watch the first two seasons again. That's one of my favorite shows, but damn the storyline demands a lot from the viewers memory.

I watched it again with my partner a couple of weeks after and loved it the second time too, seeing just how interwoven it was.

Yeah. I've already seen season one twice and I enjoyed it even more the second time around. I don't remember too much from season two because my memory is shit, so I'll be re-watching it all from the beginning again most likely. I'm not complaining though because I love the show.

I see Jordan Peele's Twilight Zone is back. In the first season, there was this shittiest episode "Not All Men" where men become violent when a meteor rock hits the town. The ending was the dumbest thing I've seen in years with the most asinine, dumbest SJW plot twist which left me so mad that I stopped watching the new series altogether.

It's Jordan Peele lol

THE BOYS Season 2 Gets September 24, 2020 Premiere Date!

Amazon Prime Video’s superhero satire The Boys will premiere the first three episodes of its second season Friday, September 4, the streamer announced today, with new episodes available each Friday until the season finale on Oct. 9.

The dates were announced during a streaming event today hosted by Season 2 guest star Patton Oswalt.

Creator and executive producer Kripke said in a statement that Season 2 will be “crazier, stranger, more intense, more emotional,” and joked that “the Surgeon General has insisted we air the first three episodes on September 4, then air the remaining five episodes weekly after that. We wanted to give you time to freak out, digest, discuss, come down from the high, before we give you another dose. We only have your well-being in mind. Hope you love the season as much as we do.”

The new season will find The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.

The Supes of The Seven also include Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), The Deep (Chace Crawford) and Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell).

Recurring stars in the upcoming season include Claudia Doumit, Goran Visnijc, Malcolm Barrett, Colby Minifie, Shantel VanSanten, Cameron Crovetti, PJ Byrne, Laila Robbins and Giancarlo Esposito returning as Vought boss Stan Edgar, among others.

That’s forever way dammit. Give me a chance to watch it again I guess.

Finished Watchmen.
Was very good. Strong stuff in tackling current climate & doing it well.
I liked Lady Trieu a lot.

I’ve heard it’s just not that good. Which is a shame because the Twilight Zone as an overall property is brilliant. I bought the full Serling series about a month before covid crisis started in earnest stateside (inspired by the scify marathon on Jan 1). So many classics. I had to stop watching during the quarantines though. Felt a little too on the nose and unsettling.

I like Peele. Glad he’s killing it with his post-Key and Peele career. But I hope they improve the series for the second season.

High praise. Fair enough I have to watch it then

Just binged season 3 of Search Party.

Season 1 episode 1 really does give no hint of just where season 3 will end up.. very odd.

Thanks. Very cool that you checked out Rising of the Shield Hero and liked it as well.

Coincidentally I was thinking of making a new thread listing the anime shows I have seen over the past few months and making some recommendations. I'll tag you when that thread is up.
Dragon,
I know you've been busy lately, which is good, imho. I hope you're doing super interesting awesome things.

Any chance you had time to throw some anime suggestions our way?

I haven't done any passion project in Mayberry in half a year now but I think I'll revive my anime recommendation thread idea.

I'll tag you once it's finished.

Finished the season 3 of The Sinner.

Huge quallity drop from seasons 1 and 2. First few episodes were promising but all fell apart eventualy. I saw some porn movies with better plot and character development.

Season finale was atrocious, had a felling Tommy Wiseau directed that shit.
