Television TV Show Thread

Likely talking to myself here but anyone watch The Pitt? I don't really do medical dramas but Noah Wyle was excellent in ER so jumped in. What an excellent show. It's ER but very adult willies and women's bits ER. Pope from Animal Kingdom was only in a few episodes but superb as always.

I binged that, best TV I have seen for a while.

I won't spoil it for anyone but the big gigantic drama, I saw a headline about some months before so that wasn't a big shock but still thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope with season 2 we have the same characters. It was only a 16 hour shift but the relationships with people who only got there that morning working with people who'd been there a lifetime was pretty special.

After enduring the Frasier reboot I started watching the original series from season 1. They really had lightning in a bottle. Niles and Daphne, and his father really made the show. Their dynamic was perfect

I'm also watching MASH from season 1 in honor of Loretta Swift passing yesterday at the age of 87 she played "Hot lips" Houlihan and really broke about of barriers for women actresses for her time.. I remember it came on right before the Muppet show and my parents would watch it.

So many funny episodes. And, like Cheers, it remained damn good until the very end.

After today's episode, Murderbot is kinda shit. Not really funny, not really interesting.

RIP George Wendt, Kirstie Alley, and Nicholas Colasanto.

One of the all-time great TV series. Might be my number 2 favorite sitcom behind Seinfeld.
Fox News contacted Kirstie's people to ask if she was willing to do an interview after the recent actor's passing.

Your Friends and Neighbours ended up, save Suits, the best show of the year. The finale nearly had me in tears with being so overwhelmed.

Why has it had no traction on here? It's Don Draper being brilliant ffs.

Yeah. Cancer. Sadly. Good actress.

She was great on Cheers. I think it’s a real rare phenomenon that Cheers basically had two major casting replacements and didn’t miss a beat. When Nicholas Colasanto passed, Woody filled the void and was really endearingly similar to Coach. And when Shelley Long left, Kirstie Alley stepped in with a completely different character and gimmick and was hilarious. While the first change was handled pretty seamlessly, Long leaving probably seemed like a bridge too far as the Sam-Diane element was so integral to the early seasons. The fact that Alley did as awesome as she did was a testament to her and to the writers/showrunners.

i've never watched cheers, but i've seen her in films growing up. i liked her. she seemed chill. she was the melissa mccarthy of the 90s, except better than her by miles lol. but you get what i mean? popular "i'm the bigger girl underdog that everybody loves". man i'm so sick of cancer taking everybody. but that's another conversation for another time.
