Television TV Show Thread

Anyone watched any of the Unknown shows on Netflix? I've watched the first three, but haven't watched the AI one yet.

Same here.

You know what is weird too is that I remember that cliffhanger episode where JDM first appeared and I thought he gave a totally compelling and strong performance (very good actor, no surprise) but I just didn’t really care to watch after the next episode. I was already starting to lose interest but that cemented it for me.

I will probably end up watching some more of it down the line but it seems by many accounts that the early seasons were the best that the series ever was.
It was the later seasons are trash... and the final ep was truly disappointing... beyond trash...

Went back to watching Seinfeld on flix... I need some new to watch

I'm rewatching Alias on Disney+. Very good show. Good characters. I think HULU also has it.

Prime Jennifer Garner's body was so fit. Just needed bigger boobs. She's often strutting around in some hot girl outfit as part of her mission cover.

Been watching This Fool, a Hulu Original Series. There are 2 seasons out. It's pretty hilarious if you grew up around Mexicans in Southern Cali. lol!

Season 1 trailer

Season 2 trailer

Overall the wife and I are enjoying it a lot. Definitely brings back some childhood memories of Mexican friends we both had growing up.

On season 2 of Mayor of Kingstown. This shit is awesome. I think they missed not going deeper into the little brother's exit from the state police. That shooting was crazy. The prison riots. All of it is awesome.

The Righteous Gemstones
Veep
Succession

I basically only use HBO Max nowadays. Nothing much on Netflix interests me unless it's a new season of a series I like. I have to catch up on Sweettooth.

Can't decide want to watch next. I'm finishing up The Sopranos so maybe something lighter would be good.

All I care about is if they upgraded the stripper/ho to one with bigger boobs.

The other night broadcast ABC had what looked like Ms. Marvel season finale. Did they show the entire season for free?

I was just coming in here to post this. I just finished ep 2 and I'm pleasantly surprised. I really didn't like the trailer from a few months back. I liked Mackie when he was Falcon in the films (Falcon and Winter Soldier show sucked) but I haven't enjoyed him in anything else until now, so I had some bias going into this, despite loving the games.

It's really fun, love how quirky it all is, while still having some solid world building.

Brooklyn Nine Nine was an ok show, Stephanie Beatriz was always the highlight for me. She's a good casting choice.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I ended up liking this show. I would have thought it would have been impossible to make this good because the idea/story of the game was pretty non-existent from what I remembered. I turned it on thinking it would just be some background noise, but I ended up binge watching it.

Mackie and Beatriz are great in this and they have some real chemistry. They actually were able to craft a pretty good story with interesting characters in a really ridiculous world. (I liked how they portrayed Sweet Tooth) Despite the silliness of the story and characters, there are still plenty of real moments that make you actually care about the people in the story. Great, nostalgic soundtrack as well.

Seems like Apple TV+ has S2E1's of various shows available free, so I guess I'll check those out then subscribe a month to finish off the 2nd seasons.

I haven't seen any of the John Wick films. Do I got to watch those before watching this prequel series?
Having not seen the series yet, I don't know if it's necessary to see the John Wick films first. But I will presume that it is relatively safe to watch the prequel series first without knowing anything about the films. I think it might be best to watch the series first because you will not know some of the characters' fates in the movies and you'll be heavily invested not knowing if their characters in the show die or not.

Sanctuary is brutal. Lots of bullying and bad character traits, I find it dark and demoralising but it also impacts strongly.

Definitely worth checking by for my combat sports afflicted brethren.

This is on my watchlist. I keep meaning to start it.
