I stopped watching The Walking Dead after they killed off Glenn.

Same here.

You know what is weird too is that I remember that cliffhanger episode where JDM first appeared and I thought he gave a totally compelling and strong performance (very good actor, no surprise) but I just didn’t really care to watch after the next episode. I was already starting to lose interest but that cemented it for me.

I will probably end up watching some more of it down the line but it seems by many accounts that the early seasons were the best that the series ever was.

That's how I felt also. I was already losing interest with all the depressing stories. They're just constantly surviving and relocating to a new place and losing likable characters each season. Glenn's death just sealed the deal for me.

Just saw the newest trailer for Winning Time season 2. Super excited for that! I understand it’s taking some liberties with historical accuracy but Damm is it entertaining.

You probably already know this, but just in case you don't. The first season of Winning Time was based off the book titled Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980's by Jeff Pearlman. HBO paid for the rights to adapt the entire book, which covers almost a decade of the Lakers, and the show only covered about 1 season. So they have a lot of material still to use for future seasons. It won't be 10 seasons obviously, but they have the ability to put out a handful more.

Also, they bought the rights for his follow up book titled Three-Ring Circus: Kobe, Shaq, Phil and the Crazy Years of the Lakers Dynasty, which pretty much follows that entire run, so once they've had enough of Winning Time in the 80's they can pivot to that which should be great as well.

I'm excited for Season 2 and even happier it's coming so soon!

Episode 3 is amazing. This season's got Paul Walter Hauser in it which is really becoming a new favourite of mine. It follows the same formula as season one. Also Ken Jeong (sp?) is in it. Worth checking out imo

Finished Succession season 4 and it's probably my favorite season of the series tied with season 2.

Episode 3 was one of the best episodes on TV. Just freaking amazing. I was sort of spoiled on what would happen because a lot of the news sites covered it even though they didn't put it in their headlines, I still figured it out.

I'm still processing the series finale. I was initially disappointed with how the finale played out but I'm liking it more and more after thinking about it.

Tom just became a puppet for a soulless monster.. but he did manage to change his power dynamic in a loveless marriage nevertheless.
Overall they were all bad people, we rooted for and liked some of them because they were charismatic as hell.
You can do a deep dive on each of them and their outcomes, it is all very interesting with the good writing and great performances.

Seeing Ken all sad puppy and losing his purpose in life, losing the family legacy.
Roman just trying to pose as a businessman magnate that is all fun and games.. all shattering and revealing just a messed up kid.
Shiv going back to a broken marriage and maybe in her mind saving the family from itself.

Connor still a goofball but maybe the best (in terms of a decent-ish guy) that the family has to offer surprisingly. Yet Willa was really looking forward to that distance.
Tom did succeed in climbing the corporate ladder all the way to the top. At great price, just a meat shield that after a few years will be discarded, has to put up with the prick boss trying to bed his wife.
Greg took his shoot but didn't work out so now he is in the swed's dog house, yet Tom did threw him a lifeline.
Things were looking up at the mom's kitchen but as the show taught us many times.. the world can go upsides down in moments.
All three siblings aren't good people and at the end of the day still billionaires with that high price sell. But for this people it isn't just about money, power is the real currency and they just lost it all.

Agree with all your points. They're not good people but we still root for some of them. I initially hated Tom with the way he bullied Greg but grew to sympathize with him when we learned about his unhealthy relationship with Shiv.

So I am glad that he ended up on top in the end. Yeah, he's just a puppet for Mattson but in a show about succession, Tom upset everyone's expectations by ending up the winner.

Between the three siblings, if I have to choose one to take over Waystar, I would choose Shiv. From what I could tell, she has a sound mind for business and strategy, and her actions (aside from the end) seemed reasonable. I don't like her character but I feel her frustration for being marginalized for the top position from everyone.

Kendall is a very creative person and you could see how his creativity overwhelms his judgement. He is an empty person inside and the business big moves give him a temporary high. You can also see how he was becoming Logan Jr. with the way he treats his family and employees. Regardless, I was still rooting for him to be the CEO in the finale.

Roman is just fucked up. I can't believe how this guy has been given a position as high as co-CEO. The way he talks, the way he acts, he is just not believable as a businessman. He is so unstable and insecure that he went on a impulsive firing spree once he was top dog.

You are right, they imploded in the end. When the three siblings were working together, they could have overcome most obstacles and become successful in whatever endeavor they chose. But they couldn't overcome the generational trauma, their ego, pride and insecurities and they just defeated themselves.

As for why Shiv chose to do what she did in the end, it kinda made sense to me looking at it from her perspective. Her two brothers were ganging up on her and she was never going to be made CEO. It was a petty move - if I can't be CEO, my two brothers can't also. So making Tom the CEO is the next best thing as they are still married and she in her mind can manipulate Tom behind the scenes. In a way, it still stays in the Roy family. Plus I think she knows she treated Tom badly and this was in her own way to make amends. And she was pregnant with Tom's child and she probably was scared of the future and did not want to raise the child alone.

I'm also gonna miss Patty Jenkins as Kerry. Again, no fact checking please.
