I'm a little perplexed at the reason for giving this speech to Congress.
It's a campaign speech-not a bad one-rich in themes and platitudes but utterly lacking in real substance. I would expect a speech to Congress to have more "meat" to it.
He's got a lot to lay out-justifying his budget proposal, tax reform, healthcare plan, immigration, financial reforms, etc. What Congress got was broad policy which we already all know.
BTW, for those of you complaining about all the applause, it's usually best to wait until after the speech and read the transcript. Cuts the BS out, you can read a transcript in 5 minutes.
