I don't blame them it's just detached from reality. I agree that this victory was their symbolic culmination of a decades long war against people of color and women but the mandate is tenuous. If I had any faith in the country's media ecosystem and elections going forward I would feel pretty comfortable predicting a backlash, and you are seeing that with Trump's approval rating dropping 10 points since inauguration day.In a way, it's natural for the winning side to claim total victory and that they represent the people's will. When Obama beat McCain, liberals celebrated it as a win over Bush-era militarism and Christian fundamentalism.
But conservatives take special glee in this victory because a Republican winning the popular is so rare. Apart from Dubya's 2004 victory (aided by an active war), a Republican hadn't won the popular vote in about 30 years so felt refreshing, inspiring and hopeful for them.
They'd felt how "their" country was being lost to minorities, liberal whites, gays, feminists, etc., for years and to finally get some reprieve was ecstasy to them. Can't blame them that much.

That’s a good point but Trump was starting at a lower point than most already. I think the drop has been pretty dramatic.Every president's approval drops after inauguration. Acting like it's some special and personal backlash to Trump is just ignoring history and common sense.
Only 1 President had ratings this low, this soon after his election and that President....... Donald Trump 2016.Every president's approval drops after inauguration. Acting like it's some special and personal backlash to Trump is just ignoring history and common sense.
We don't elect people via the popular vote, so it's not the best gauge as to how dominant of a victory this was. The popular vote is essentially a fun talking point. We elect people via the Electoral College and Trump overwhelmingly smoked Kamala there, while picking up EVERY swing state. The country swung for Trump whether you like it or not. This petty nonsense from the left to try belittling his win is so cringe.Trump's 2024 popular vote margin was the 6th smallest ever at +1.6. Biden won at +4.5, Hillary was at +2.1, Obama +3.9 and +7.9. Trump's tipping point state margin of victory was +1.7. Obama's was +9.0 and +5.5. I'm not sure why it is important for Trump supporters to pretend his victory was a landslide or a large mandate, it just simply wasn't unless you want to consider every election a landslide. He won, he's the president but still a deeply polarizing figure that did not earn an overwhelming mandate. If he did his approval rating wouldn't be dropping like a stone.
Minorities voted for Trump in record numbers. They'd felt how "their" country was being lost to minorities, liberal whites, gays, feminists, etc., for years and to finally get some reprieve was ecstasy to them. Can't blame them that much.
Do you think Biden won a landslide in 2020? He won every single swing state too but with a much wider margin in the popular vote. Again, even going by tipping point state margin of victory Trump was at +1.7. Obama's tipping point margin in 08 was 9.0. So does that mean that was like a super duper landslide or? There are margins to this thing and by almost every measurable 24 was a close election. We don't elect people via the popular vote, so it's not the best gauge as to how dominant of a victory this was. I guess they cheered him throughout the night besides that one time is your claim ? LolTrump got booed at the UFC event. The people were cheering for Shaq when they showed him on the Jumbotron. Soon as they showed Trump on the screen, they started booing.

What responsibiltiy should they be taking? They are clearly happy with their vote, regardless of whatever fantasy land you live in, where they should feel bad about it for whatever reason and should've chose differently. Its amazing how right wingers can't take responsibilities for their own actions.

Yeah I call bullshit on this one. The people attending this event would literally eat his shit and say it tastes like the best thing they’ve ever had. UFC events have become MAGA rallies basically. He invites a lot of GOP members there. Elon, JD, RFK Tulsi, etc. I don’t think he’s bringing them to a hostile crowd.Trump got booed at the UFC event. Yeah it turns out pissing people off is dangerous. That's why it's not good to do it openly for 4 years straight while waving double middle fingers like you're stone cold Steve austin lmao.Yes.
Ok?
The meme is definitively true

That doesn't change the fact that he's since gained voters, many of whom used to be considered a lock for a blue vote. Its quite funny that you claim that Dems forced people to vote Trump, you do realize that Trump went through Republican primaries twice and that Republicans picked the least qualified guy based entirely on identity issues?
And you guys have the nerve to claim Dems only care about social issues.
