I don't blame them it's just detached from reality. I agree that this victory was their symbolic culmination of a decades long war against people of color and women but the mandate is tenuous. If I had any faith in the country's media ecosystem and elections going forward I would feel pretty comfortable predicting a backlash, and you are seeing that with Trump's approval rating dropping 10 points since inauguration day.

We don't elect people via the popular vote, so it's not the best gauge as to how dominant of a victory this was. The popular vote is essentially a fun talking point. We elect people via the Electoral College and Trump overwhelmingly smoked Kamala there, while picking up EVERY swing state. The country swung for Trump whether you like it or not. This petty nonsense from the left to try belittling his win is so cringe.

Do you think Biden won a landslide in 2020? He won every single swing state too but with a much wider margin in the popular vote. Again, even going by tipping point state margin of victory Trump was at +1.7. Obama's tipping point margin in 08 was 9.0. So does that mean that was like a super duper landslide or? There are margins to this thing and by almost every measurable 24 was a close election.

But you can't admit that, because you know that Biden beat Trump by a larger margin and none of you twats were demanding republicans back down because we had a mandate.

And it's kinda pointless anyway, because if you factor in his approval rating now, he definitely doesn't have a mandate. Everyone's catching on to the dumpster fire. Feel free to bump this in a month to prove us right.

Yeah I call bullshit on this one. The people attending this event would literally eat his shit and say it tastes like the best thing they’ve ever had. UFC events have become MAGA rallies basically. He invites a lot of GOP members there. Elon, JD, RFK Tulsi, etc. I don’t think he’s bringing them to a hostile crowd.
 
The fact that he’s disappearing people, cutting a bunch of our social safety net, destroying the economy with tariffs, threatening allies. etc and still has 40 something approval tells you all you need to know about why we’re here as a country. Any nation that gives someone like this over a 15 percent approval is cooked. If MAGA turned off Fox News and actually woke up I think we’d be looking at high twenties approval by end of the year.
