Bad news war room goth kids and drama nerds, even CNN can't spin this. If you aren't on the Trump train, get on soon or get left behind! Choo choo, bitches! The Chads are back in town.

Here's the poll results they're citing in the video.

Trump's approval rating is ~20 points higher than Biden's was at the end of his term! Insane!

Aren’t approval ratings always high at the beginning of a term?

Numbers are high for Trump (kinda like the term career high in sports). However, they are low for presidents this early in their presidency. It’s like saying your 5th scoring option on a basketball team is averaging a career high 10 points per game, while you have someone else scoring 30 a game.

I just get annoyed when that base argues he is universally loved or very popular when all evidence points to the contrary.
You make a good point. When you guys did this with Kamala I was so turned off

In these times? No. Even Biden wasn't lighting the world on fire in his first month. If a President these days hits 50-60%, that's probably the ceiling no matter what they do.

You guys also used to confirm SCOTUS nominees in the 90 percentile range. Now it's just purely based on whoever has a slim majority in the Senate.

Y'all are playing for keeps down there. I don't see it changing any time soon. This is civil war type shit, with the knowledge that an option for a civil war is off the table, because the government would shut it down in two seconds. Just brooding impotent frustration. If this was 1800's shit, you'd all be killing each other by now.

I wonder if his poll numbers will dip after watching Trump doze off multiple times during the televised cabinet meeting. Trump sporting giant bruises lately which means he is taking an ass load of blood thinners.

* Sure, you believe it, lol. At this point, I’d be laughing if someone of your intelligence did.

If you're going to insult someone's intelligence, don't write like a seven-year-old.

I couldn't think of the best place for this post, but chose here. Don't get played by the media narrative.

It went from "Bush=Hitler" to "Obama was a failure due to having to reverse 8 years of Bush policy", to "Orange Man bad", to "Biden had to reverse everything Orange Man did" and now "Why hasn't Trump solved all of the country's problems in 5 weeks?" . The narrative always flips, case in point during the election it was " These dummies are voting for the "price of eggs to be lowered", and already it's "The most important thing is lowering the price of eggs, and Trump hasn't even provided that". Across the board regardless of party/leader things haven't improved, it's just outrage theater, and we are being grifted/turn against each other as basic people by our "leaders"

Maybe because he LITERALLY promised that and made it a central message in his campaign?

You think that shit materialized out of nowhere?

And yes, you're being grifted, by a lifelong grifter named Donald Trump.

Here's a question for you:

What has Trump done so far to lower prices on anything in the short term?

Trump has now officially crossed over into negative approval rating. He started at +8.2 on Jan 25th, it's now at -0.3, so a pretty big drop in his time in office so far. I do think part of what is happening is he thinks he has a mandate on a lot of things he does not, given that he won a relatively close election that was defined by pricing. I really agree with what @HereticBD said earlier in this thread though that the days of very popular presidents are done in America. The polarization is so strong now and everyone pays attention to politics. It would still surprise me to see the bottom fall out on Trump's popularity because his base is so strong, but equally would surprise me if he ever reaches a consistently over 50 percent approval again.

Got bad news for your Essie

You’re going to have to find a new cope polling aggregate. 538 is going bye bye soon.

538 reputation has gone down the shitter since Silver left and for excluding polls that they felt were too friendly for Trump. Which typically just means accurate. They have been wrong last 4 cycles

Why is it cope, it's just a polling aggregator? I thought that's what this thread was about? Silver who you cite here said in his own he had Trump at +0 as of last week, which was where 538 had too. As for being wrong the polls were directionally correct in 2018, 2020, and undercounted Dems in 2022. I still think there is a usefulness in looking at them. It of course doesn't change that Trump is the presidnet.
