538 reputation has gone down the shitter since Silver left and for excluding polls that they felt were too friendly for Trump. Which typically just means accurate. They have been wrong last 4 cycles

I saw you cited RCP in the other thread. I think they are useful too even if I don't like their politics, it's kind of the flip side of 538 and Silver, they include some questionable polls but have been really good doing so. We haven't really interacted a ton so maybe you have the wrong idea of me but I know that Trump has a very high floor for popularity and his base loves him. As much as I despise him I recognize that. Cope is an interesting word you use because it probably does describe why I follow this stuff cause it makes me feel a little better but it's also not posted in a way that is meant to like say nobody likes him.

The RCP average of 1.2 (they haven't updated a couple more that came out tonight that were negative) is still pretty low and is down from 8.5 on Jan 25th so both sites have Trump dropping about 8 full points throughout his turn. By any measure that's not great.

any affinity with common sense values and basic rights.

And now they’re praising GWB. The worst president of my lifetime. That admin was why I became a Democrat when I first started voting.
