Economy Trump vs. Musk

This all seems kind of scripted. These scumdogs are working some kind of angle here, this isn’t genuine.

Perhaps.

Or perhaps it's two egotistical assholes who realized there can only be one top dog and eventually one will stab another for the throne.

Which is more likely?

Keep in mind, Elon is tweeting as if he's hopped on all the Adderall and ketamine so this is par for the course for him lol

what would that be?
I cant see a reason for faking this.

No matter what its entertaining
I mean Musk has single handily tanked Tesla's reputation world wide. Regardless of what their stock does, their sales are down massively. I personally don't think anything he does now will change that but it is a plausible reason for his actions.

In my opinion this fallout was always inevitable considering the massive egos involved.

I thought this interesting. According to two AI programs, the BBB will lower federal spending. If that is the case, with Elon's arguments, one would think he would be happier. It does make me wonder if something else is going on.

June 04, 2025

Yesterday, we talked about the Fed's influence on the budget deficit.

As we discussed, the Fed continues to hold rates up (135 basis points above the neutral rate), despite inflation falling back to just a tenth of a percentage point from its target.

And on $36 trillion national debt, every percentage point, in excess of the interest rate necessary to keep prices stable and employment full, is unecessarily costing the country hundreds of billions of dollars in interest (this year!).

Let's take a closer look at the budget itself.

I asked three of the most advanced AI models to review the 1,038 page House approved "One Big Beautiful Bill Act."

Here's what each concluded

OpenAI's ChatGPT o4-mini: "When you subtract everything the bill 'un-funds' from what remains, the overall federal-budget baseline is smaller than the current budget."

Google's Gemini 2.5: "The bill cuts deep into certain areas of federal spending (particularly climate and social programs) and seeks to improve efficiency of existing programs, intending to create a net reduction in overall federal expenditures relative to current law, even while re-prioritizing and increasing spending in other sectors like defense and border security."

Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 4: "It's a mixed package that includes both spending cuts in social programs and significant tax cuts, with the net effect being substantial increase in deficits. The bill does cut some government programs, but the tax reductions and defense spending increases more than offset these cuts, resulting increased borrowing rather than overall fiscal restraint."

So, the OpenAi and Google models stepped through the thousand page document and see significant cuts, and no new appropriations resulting in reduced federal spending. Not the extravagant "deficit blowing" budget we're hearing about.

However, the Anthropic model sees it differently.

How is that possible?

It didn't actually read the bill.

When forced to reconcile its conclusion against the other models, it admitted that it "was relying on secondary sources" that "appear to have either misunderstood the bill or were providing misleading analysis." It read the news.

It's conclusion after analyzing the legislation, is that it's "a rational growth bill that cuts wasteful spending."

As Bessent has promoted along the way, the plan is to reduce the deficit and debt through growth — growing the denominator (deficit/gdp and debt/gdp).

So, what's all the fuss about, aside from the typical political gamesmanship?

It's about the climate agenda.

As we discussed yesterday, the globally coordinated climate agenda that was funded with trillions of dollars (globally), and was intended to transform the global economy and reshape the world order, is on the chopping block in this budget — at least the United States' participation in it.

Trump knows Musk is right about the budget and spending...
The whole "big fallout" thing leftists fantasized about isn't really happening, but they'll pretend it is. Who says they have to agree on everything? In fact, Musk and Trump's "disagreement" is about as tame as they come. We've seen better. Musk is right though, he was invaluable in helping Trump get re-elected. Can't forget how important his role was and how lucky we were to dodge the Kamala Harris bullet.

Elon is trying to get more US government funding for his space projects. That shit cost a lot of money. Trump has cut NASAs budget by a large amount and now he's deciding against Elons NASA pick. He's probably pissed about this if anything

Mostly would have agreed with this just yesterday.

Today, Musk is posting numerous old tweets showing the hypocrisy of Trump and talking about starting a new political party to represent the average American. His first 30 X posts are now attacking the President pretty good. Trump is obviously going to fight back. It will get worse.

Stop it. Republicans can pass the budget bill through reconciliation without a single Democrat voting for it.

I didn't say they couldn't i said if the bill was the way Musk wanted the democrats would actually throw themselves on the floor in a fit.

Also some Republicans would not vote for it if they didn't get what they want.

Musk wanted steep cuts in things even a lot of Republicans did not want.

And why would Republicans care if they did?

You're implying that Republicans modified the bill to placate Democrats which is not the case. This is the bill Republicans wanted including Trump.

Its obfuscation. With Musk and Trump its always about changing the discussion. Pertaining specifically with Musk its about moving away from his drug abuse reports.

One thing that flew under the radar with that news report. Was the Trump administration warning Musk about upcoming drug testing on him.
