If true, they could have leaked just the stuff about Trump. There would be no worry of mutually assured destruction, as Trump would not have won if it came out that he was banging kids on Epstein's island. Weaponizing the DOJ against him, trying to get his name removed from state ballots, etc. They absolutely would have released incriminating evidence against Trump if there was any in there.
