Trump V AOC & Twitter?

Just said something dumb.

"This moment made conservatives so mad." Huh? Really? What conservatives? This is the first I'm hearing about it. She lives off getting her base to believe she infuriates conservatives.

Wait, I guess that's kinda smart. You're dumb for buying it. Genius!

People understand the context too. But her solution is so simplistic and child-like, "stop eating hamburgers" then it's easy to ridicule.

She also hasn't offered the solution to factory farming and cow farts. "we need to. . . we need to. . ."

It's like asking how to pay for medicaid for all, "You just pay for it!"

Tucker Carlson sums up the way AOC approaches the Democrats Green New Deal in the beginning:

No. that is not what she said.

there is serious debate on the role of factory farming and particularly cows at the centre of it and global warming. Cows in particular because of the grass diet and the way they digest are identified as the biggest part of the problem in the debate.

Now I don't necessarily agree with everything in the debate and could have a dispute with them. But that does not mean that what they are saying is dumb.

is it that she said 'hamburgers' specifically and if she had instead said 'cow/beef products' you would be ok? Or are you disagreeing with cows being a part of the problem? Or do you just think she went too reductionist in her language? As the point she is making there seems pretty clear to me and its not a dumb point at all, even if I am not in 100% agreement.

oh, and i cannot find exactly what you have in quotes there "You just pay for it". Are you referring to this

...
“People often say, like, ‘How are you going to pay for it?’ And I find the question so puzzling, because, how do you pay for something that’s more affordable?” Ocasio-Cortez responded, as The Daily Caller also reported.

The young Democrat’s claim that Medicare for All would be cheaper than the country’s current health system is simply not true.

“While the Mercatus Center study estimated drug prices would fall under Medicare for All, higher demand would still significantly drive up costs,” The Daily Caller noted.

“How do you pay for cheaper rent?” said Ocasio-Cortez. “You just pay for it. You’re paying more now!”

As that is something that is not stupid at all. She is correct and its a pet peeve of mine.

It is a dumb question to look simply how much something would cost to implement and keep asking 'but how will you pay for it' when you do not consider what it would replace and IS ALREADY BEING PAID FOR is more expensive. So it will actually be a reduction in cost.

Now I know some disagree with the politics of it all but again that does not make it stupid.

but please clarify if I am reading the wrong part as I could not find your exact quote and again it looks more like someone's characterization of it, taken out of context.

I saw you tagged me, but I don't see where.

I have no interest in indulging this pathetic delusion that AOC is stupid, let alone as stupid as Trump, on the basis of purposeful daftness and selective criticism by morons.

Here's another dumb one. What kind of formula is she starting off with there? Her team plus herself, decisions plus debate minus we...I just don't get it.

And then what the fuck is an educational organizer? When I google that I get the below:

That's about right, she's a colorful kindergarten box.

'Purposeful daftness'

This is a thing?

Oh look more stupid shit. Not the Don Jr stuff, but rather Mo Khanna. Here's a guy who's been in office what, 2 years? Raised a cool $2.7 million in that time! Rejects corporate money? Bullshit! I don't guess Google counts as corporate? Blackstone group?

This is just dumb shit she's said in the last five hours. I don't feel like going back further but I'm sure its day in and day out more of the same. Lot of butthurt in this thread because you guys couldn't handle a little criticism of a politician. LOL at the OP "omg I just can't seem to find anything she's ever said that was not excellent!" Get the fuck outta here.

I think the question asks more than a literal "how do you pay for something?" Well yea, you pay for it duh.

Sure, how do you pay rent? "you just pay for it". It shows policy without strategy. The question is obviously asking for a detailed breakdown or at least some something more then "you just pay for it". It's asking about user end costs (taxes), and costs of running/implementation. It's already given that it is cheaper, it must be, so that's not really a talking point since that's the whole point of implementing it.

A one-liner reply - this is not what people want to hear from someone seeking highly important changes. It is a very bad way to sell it and doesn't inspire confidence and sounds like something coming from an air-head. The worst thing is she lumps the healthcare issue with other unknowns making it an extra hard sell:

https://ijr.com/the-green-new-deal-could-cost-taxpayers-93-trillion/
The American Action Forum, estimated that the Green New Deal could cost between $51 trillion and $93 trillion, depending on the calculation. As IJR previously reported, the Green New Deal aims to have 100 percent renewable energy, universal health care, and guaranteed jobs for all Americans.

Really, 100% renewable energy? Feelz before Reelz.

Remember when she compared herself to Franklin and FDR, her election victory to the Moon Landing, ‘Establishing Civil Rights’. Quite a big fruitloop head there.

Damn, I'm going down the rabbit hole and I'm finding things I didn't even know she said/did. She's amazing. She knows she can get away with just putting things "out there".

The #1 people talking about AoC in the warroom, are conservicucks....theybare obssessed with her.

Alexandria is the new boogeywoman for the right...they are obssed with her just like they were obsessed with hilary/Warren.

WTF is dumb in that tweet?

Are you guys just trolling now?

AOC doesnt really say many dumb things at all, she just says things the right-wingers disagree with and since she has the big 'S' boogeyman label they are intent on targeting her and nitpicking everything she says to try to make it look stupid.

ya her statement there is not dumb even if wrong.

it is not 'dumb' to be wrong or mistaken. Those are not the same thing.

But I take it you give up as you are just randomly labeling anything and everything as dumb which tells me you are searching and searching and cannot find anything.

The question just spammed out there is dumb. Her reply was not.

Yes in fact if I tell you I am moving into a new apartment that costs X and you say 'but how will you pay for it', and i say it costs less then my current apartment which I am moving out of, that should make perfect sense.

If you want to argue there are definite disagreements and points of view on the economics being presented, I won't disagree. Of course there is. But that is a DEBATE and its not dumb simply being on one side of the debate or the other. I can cite all sorts of economic data from other countries who have single payer health care and whose results and outputs are ranked much better in terms of cost and care than the US system currently is. So you cannot simply close the door that it can potentially be better and cheaper for the US to go on to another path because you can cite studies that say it is not.

Yeah I can picture the conversation her and Rep Khanna had in the halls of Congress now. "Hey Mo, you don't take any money from those evil old corporations do you? Awesome, you're going on my good list!!!"

Now she's either A) dumb as shit for believing that guy without checking up on it, or B) lying to millions of adoring followers knowing you guys will eat it up without checking because you're dumb as shit.

Which is it? Its not just "oh she's just wrong, its all good".

you're a troll. And a dumb one at that.

Oh man here I thought we could have civil discussions but I guess you gotta insult when white knighting your crush, eh?

She's not going to sleep with you boss.

LMFAO you thought that was a subtraction? Yeah bro, you have no merits to call people dumb.

Ill break down her post for your feeble little mind.

My Staff + I come to decisions through robust discussion + debate

That was her "formula"

She then adds because of that, we operate as team.

It wasnt a subtraction..anybody with an average IQ wouldve been able to figure that out.

Yeah bro, you should stop calling peoppe dumb when you can't even comprehend simple sentences.

So this is great. She calls a constituent, probably gets a hold of one crazy lady who talk her ear off for 10-15 minutes about what? Her lack of mail! "I didn't get no mail yesterday, didn't get none the day before either! Seems I only get mail about every 2-3 days!!!"

AOC is on the case!!!! This is how people get comic books written about them, doing the people's work. <36>
