So this is great. She calls a constituent, probably gets a hold of one crazy lady who talk her ear off for 10-15 minutes about what? Her lack of mail! "I didn't get no mail yesterday, didn't get none the day before either! Seems I only get mail about every 2-3 days!!!"

The entire rest of that thread is people saying 'she says lots of dumb stuff' but with no quotes just as we are now seeing here and just as you are doing.

How about actually providing some quotes?

Couple points. One, I don't think missing your mail one or two days is that big of a problem. Also I almost believe the whole story is made up. Also how would a call from a freshman representative to the USPS do anything? They're an independent agency of the federal government. They're technically part of the executive branch, but even so outside the authority of the president.

AOC saying she's "fixing the mail" is a stretch here.

I'm not sure about the details, but if I had to guess, her and her staff probably have connections with someone in the Postal service organization that can explain the lack of coverage and come up with some sort of way to rectify the situation. Anecdotally, back when I lived in Boston, there was a complaint that UPS/Amazon wouldn't do 2 day shipping to some neighborhoods in South Boston. IIRC, the mayor got personally involved and the issue was fixed pretty quickly.

AOC saying she's "fixing the mail" is a stretch here.

I get it's a little hyperbolic, but that should be a minor gripe.

Just imagine one area, such as autoparts not getting thru due to this and try to understand the impact on the US economy.

I called AOC out when it was clear she thought that denying Amazon future tax credits by helping to scuttle that deal meant that there was billions in the coffers that could now instead be given to teachers but this comment by Trump is levels more stupid than that one.
