Rudy's role in this is actually the most damning.
As Trump's personal lawyer he actually has an obligation to bias. He has to act in the best interest of his client and fashioning arguments that benefit him, including 'alternative theories'.
He actually has an obligation to NOT be objective. So him out looking for evidence and framing what they want to see and hear is very damning.

Well the first question one would ask is 'how did the info get to POTUS?'
Its not like POTUS is an investigator out looking for wrong doing.
So look at the Trump/Mueller Investigation. As that one followed the proper path.
- Information comes into a low level operative (FBI, CIA, NSA, Other)
- thru that channel it is raised up the flag poll at each stage with seniors trying to verify or disregard based on evidence
- If it requires more resources and deeper investigation and seems to have sensitivity it may hit someone like the AG's desk for a review
- At all stages checks are done if anyone needs to recuse due to potential bias or conflict
- then and only then would it typically be pushed up to POTUS if serious enough.
At each stage as it escalates it does so thru a process that is transparent and verifiable and documented within the agencies such that if any audit need be done to check why or how it was pursued that info is available.
That is the exact opposite of the Trump/Biden accusation which started with Trump at the top and has Rudy doing the leg work in the most obscure way possible.

Their plan was to then steer lucrative contracts to companies controlled by Trump allies, according to two people with knowledge of their plans.

I remember that an FBI investigation into Kavanaugh lasted a mere ten days, and they failed to follow up on another accusation with a list of like 2 dozen possible case witnesses.
I also remember Mitch Mcconnell shitting on his duties in the Senate and refusing to go forth with a vote on Merrick Garland.
I don’t think so. He’s been literally yelling it at anyone who will listen. The President of the US has to yell at people to say there was a crime committed because he has yet to provide an ounce of evidence and because 62% of the population either do not believe him when he talks or is skeptical of the things he says.
Oh that’s from the AP, kind of hard to trash them.
