When I was at the gym this evening, Fox News was on one of the TV's. When I first got there, the headline was "World of Corruption: Biden and Ukraine."

Before I left to go to the squat rack, it read "Adam Schiff Blasted for Lies."

An hour later when I left, I walked past and they had switched to "BREAKING: Unemployment at Thirty Year Low."

It's just a different sphere of reality, man. I mean, just look at the post by @PainIsLIfe right beneath yours:

How do you even reason with that kind of detachment from reality where events are filtered through that kind of partisan distortion? I mean....it's consistent cases, as seen above, of constructing a completely different reality - in this case, one in which the claim is that Trump asked Ukraine to specifically fabricate information specifically on Joe Biden - and erecting burdens of proof relative to that reality: in this case, saying Democrats were pwned and Trump exonerated if the facts don't bear out to show that misrepresented claim.

And what's the endgame of these forays into propagandizing? Well, there isn't one whatsoever when it comes to policy: most of them are chortling about Supreme Court picks (also see above) that will promulgate rulings and shore up precedents that they don't support and which directly conflict with the interests of regular citizens (like striking all campaign finance regulations, maiming the ability of shareholders and aggrieved citizens to sue corporations, stripping protections for whistle blowers, etc.)

I NEVER said I wanted Biden to step down you fool. I also do NOT call for an investigation into Biden. Interesting that you are so blinded that you cannot read and continue to project into what I think and LIE about it.

I don't want Trump to step down as you say... I want him impeached over it, aggressively.

If the dems had any political sense AT ALL they would burn Biden and Trump down on this together. As it is they are losing credibility with way too many people trying to pretend that Biden is not corrupt.

This whole thing is a chance for the dems to come out and actually stand for what is right but they wont.

On the Bush', Cheney, etc cases, one need only look at defense contracts. That was more general corruption than the types of emolument violations Trump engages, but corruption nonetheless.

On your last sentence, I didn't think I needed to label China as communist and not label Ukraine or Australia as the same. Jesus.

Yes I said that and you assumed I meant something I did not ---even though I have repeatedly told you I did not mean he should be prosecuted. And yes you made the same ignorant and willingly dishonest assumption in the last thread. Once I proved that to you you tucked tail and quit replying and rightly so. I think today you have had a lot of caffeine and are feeling spunky once again....


So here it is AGAIN Mike. I think Trump ought to be prosecuted to the fullest extent possible, aggressively. Biden is guilty but there is no reason to dig all that up again and so he ought to be abandoned as the corrupt piece of shit he is. No one should defend him or accuse him from the democratic side. Instead of going after Biden or stupidly defending him (I've said this several times) we should seriously and publicly stand up for legislation that makes it illegal to do what Biden's son and countless others do and did which is obviously pay for play.

And lastly the dems are missing the ball here as this is a chance to prove to the whole disillusioned country that we meaningfully stand against corruption in all of its forms --- no matter who it effects.

Any leader with vision and integrity could turn this whole debacle into a win for the democrats if only they had the moral fortitude to want to do so.
