Crime Trump took an L in the Noble Peace Prize race

how many people in the history of the Nobel peace prize have actively begged for the prize and campaigned to win it. It is possible it has happened, but I have never seen a man and his followers so hell bent on being recognized.

44Nutballs is Shit poster of the year... and could be of the decade at his current rate

I actually agree. And now I want to know more about the woman in Argentina. I had never heard of her.

Maybe she did deserve it?

She thanked Trump for his efforts and dedicated the prize to him.

It doesn't really matter after they gave it to Al Gore Jr., for saving the planet, and Obama for ... well, for nothing at all. Jimmy Carter earned his, but that's about it for Presidents earning one in the past 50 years. Trump stepped back yesterday and said he doubted he would win it.

His best move is to congratulate Maria Corina Machado and never mention the prize again, but I don't think he can help himself.

Somebody pray for TS.
She dedicated the Nobel win to Trump. <lol>

I am outraged! I live in NJ, and I'm new at this, which city should I burn?

Thankfully, you shared that you are new at this. When things happen that upset the Right... we don't burn things. We put our head down and go back to work.

If it was denied to Kamala Harris, then the right answer is Newark... you burn Newark.

For doing nothing, no less.

it's the commission that appears to have it

you said "how much of the world you affect isn't relevant' which is a direct expectation from you about "how it should be". try to keep up with your own arguments.
It's your view of the committee's choice. Unless you have a quote from them, of course.

Saying that something isn't relevant is a factual statement of the current state of things (made even more obvious by me giving an objective example), not a statement of opinion of how things should be. Better brush up on your English if that's how you want to act.

Based.

Honestly though, Trump really had no business being awarded a Nobel Peace prize… not that it means anything anymore
of course not. it's a travesty the way these prizes are awarded.
i can[t think of one politician alive that would deserve a Nobel prize for PEACE.
give it to people doing real work. doctors without borders, that type of stuff.
not fucking politicians, especially ones that didn't do anything worthy of it.

it's not, it's just your opinion, unless you have a quote saying it.

I proved it by giving an example. If it was relevant how much of the world you affected this year's prize wouldn't go to Corina. It's how things are.

you didn't prove anything because you didn't have the official reasons from the Nobel committee. it's just your opinion that they didn't think she affected the world enough. and your opinion is worth precisely zero.

In a previous post you said "you don't get an award for peace for doing a political campaign that has nothing to do with 95% of the world", which is a nonsensical statement if you think you need the committee's reasoning to judge whether that's the case, since they may have thought he affected much of the world. So either we both can judge how much someone affects the world or none of us can. Pick one.

looks like neither of us can then.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned in this thread, but Maria Machado was actually nominated by Marco Rubio, who wrote a glowing testimonial to her contributions. So Trump is going to have a hard time spinning this as a travesty.
