The expectations people had for Trump today , they had them because they knew he wouldn't do those things. If anyone believed Trump was going to use that presser as stage to go off on Putin, they are mentally deficient.

While it certainly would've been "interesting" to see Trump start off the show by claiming that Putin won him the election, and acknowledging that he is a discredited president who doesn't have a legitimate democratic claim to holding a position of authority over anyone, it's not realistic to expect him to do that in a situation where he has to establish himself as a powerful and capable leader.

It would "cuck" him far more if he admitted that Putin is basically powerful enough to elect America's president in their stead.

So in your view, we should respond to an attack by apologizing for being an inviting target? Or what? Not sure what you're saying. Are you suggesting that Russia wasn't behind the hacks? That Manafort didn't run Trump's campaign? That the meeting didn't happen? Put aside your partisan preferences, and just look at the evidence. Very obviously, there was a lot of interference from Russia in the process, and many people in the Trump campaign were aware of it (note that he was even warned that they'd try to infiltrate his campaign--back when it was just assumed that any presidential candidate would care about that).

Everyone knows the Russian impact on the election was close to nothing, convinced a couple of people on the fence subconsciously but that’s it.

Nevertheless facts are facts;

Trump has called the FBI liars.

He has said Putin is more trustworthy.

Even someone completely impartial let alone a patriot would find the hardworking professionals at the FBI more trustworthy than a murderer like Putin.

Do you not get how that is a huge fucking deal?
