I'm not really sure why Trump pushed for this meeting against advice. You'd hope he would have firmly stood up to him regarding the election tampering but instead he just whitewashed it and continued with his conspiracy theories. You being a fan of his what do you think this meeting accomplished?
He said he asked him about the election meddling and he denied it. Whats his next move? Ask him if he's sure? If he pinky promises?

As I said to someone else, he says he asked Putin about it and the guy denied it. This isn't a Harrison Ford movie, it was a diplomatic meeting. There's not much more he could do man to man.
No, but state firmly that there will be greater repercussions if they continue, not state that his word is as good as our intelligence agencies'. This is really something that he should have made a priority from day one but by all accounts has ignored. Is it just that he doesn't want to delegitimize his election, or since they've been interfering to benefit Republicans it doesn't matter to him. It's not necessarily due to a pee tape or actual collusion but he did not represent our country well today.
This is super obvious if you just listen to the speculation. It sounds far fetched but the guy is compromised, and thus, he didn't push for anything, Putin did.
He could have confronted him with some of the evidence. Fox News with Chris Wallace showed more fortitude than Trump.
Trump has proven that he’s abjectly dishonest, even by politician’s standards. It would’ve been nice if he’d tweeted some invective like he does with America’s allies.
