And it does not seem true to you guys that this reality is a problem when the president of one nation is obfuscating for the attack on his country in a favorable manner to the country that instigated the attack.

I think the hacks are negligible. They obviously had zero impact on the election. I'm more interested in seeking a better relationship with the only country that poses a real threat to us currently in order to counter both a rising China nd a global radical islam problem. We don't have to be BFFs, but being mutual partners in a common goal is better than another Cold War. This isn't complicated stuff.
And, as I have stated multiple times, I felt the same way when Obama was prez, and the same for W.

This has what to do with my post? I advise you look into election manipulation around the world and see how long its gone on for, kinda like the separating families of illegal immigrants. I think Trump owned himself by meeting Putin and putting himself in that position. The pressure eventually got to him and today he came unstuck. He had no need to say all the extra stuff he did, it was totally uncalled for and was jarringly suspicious.

i would agree that the CIA has a looong history of fuckups and downright nastiness in pursuit of american goals abroad, just like the British before them, they are single minded in how they go about things, all the while talking up the nations virtues publicly.
but a British prime minister wouldnt fellate Putin at a public press conference he had called if, for example, hed just murdered a few citizens by poison, or attempted to subvert parliamentary elections with targeted propoganda.
